Is he eligible for a rising star nomination? Kid did very well today I thought ... Pagan made a very bad move by moving him out of the ruck.

And no, I don't think he's "super talented" but what did you guys think of him? Just want an opposition view.

I know I'm a Carlton fan, but I'm not biased and I would like to make a comment.

I believe his to old to win a rising star nomination.

But I believe he is a star on the rise, and I also believe, from todays game he is 'super talented'.

He held onto every mark, he kicked long - very long and he ran hard. He did everything, rucked, loose man in defence and kicked out.

Chris Bryan is the goods.

He dared to take big grabs in packs, thump the ball 30 metres clear at centre bounces, and kick the ball 60 metres downfield to a forward in a 1-on-1 marking contest. How dare he attempt to make the game interesting?

He's a footballer caught in a time warp, he would have been a star in the 1980s. Here's hoping he keeps it up, it might just catch on. I think Pagan is comfortable with it as well, Bryan reminds me a little of McKernan at his peak with North in the 90s.

I understand he was drafted No 73 ... good choice Carlton.

agree with stoksey, the talent is there and has a great kick and good below his knees too.imo in the (not quite yet but potentially)spider everett mould

You usually want a ruckman using his height in marking contests but when a guy kicks it like that you just have to give it too him, I once saw him kick it straight into the middle of the center circle during a seconds game a few weeks ago  Great kick.

You don't want to wrap a guy after only one good game but his style reminds me a little of Percy Jones who admittedly I've only seen on the box.Goes hard at it and is desperate to make it which the coach will love.Listening Archie? :D On the plus side it means Prendergast can be dropped and hopefully another footballer in Sporn gets a run.

Did very well, worked very hard all game. Thumping kick too! In the ruck contests he seemed to be beaten by Jolly but held his own against Ball which isn't too bad for your first game.

This kid can play no doubt about it, but we shouldn't juss give him wraps all over the place, but no doubt if he can back it up, why not? Great debut, let's play some youngsters, we may get something good out of them. I dont get why Pagan doesnt play a Russell or a J.Smith or even a Setanta, i mean give the kids some game time and see how they go.. since we can't win, least give some youngsters a go.. What do others think about this? opinions please.

Other teams will wake up to his long kicking soon, that's why we can't have him kicking out every time, otherwise it won't work.

Mix it up and we might actually clear the ball with ease. Instead of Stevo or Campo chipping it and stuffing it up.
