There's an argument brewing on the main board over who's better, vote now, Cloke V Petrie.

It's pretty obvious the majority will vote for Cloke because he is the better forward, not to mention several years younger as well. I wouldn't give big Drew up for anybody, but Cloke is the in form big man of the comp. Petrie does have versatility on his side, though.

I think most neutrals will agree that these two are the best power forwards in the game right now.

Petrie has NEVER dominated fwd like Cloke has this year, Petrie has often gone back/ruck because his fwd form was shithouse, if you have a dominant KF you simply wouldn't play him anywhere else, L.Brown's more versatile than Cloke, doen't make him better, Cloke by more than a bit IMO.

Petrie has had a very good year, most probably his best yet.

But it's not that close.

Cloke has more goals, more touches, more marks (almost double Petrie's contested mark tally), more tackles. Cloke works up the ground more often than Petrie also, has a whopping 40 more inside 50s to demonstrate this.
Petrie is ahead in hitouts though, but Cloke's role is obviously not second ruckman.

IMO Cloke has been our third best player this year (behind Pendlebury and Thomas) and I also feel that Petrie has been North's best player this year (behind Goldstein and Wells, potentially behind Swallow too). Just need to refer back to how much of a gap between the sides there was last week to see how significant that is, I know it's subjective but the only reason this poll will be close is because people tend to rate Collingwood players a tad harsher due to the hate factor.

Cloke, by a lot.

Petrie has been very good this year, but Cloke is a monty AA CHF or FF (wherever Buddy isn't) this year. The best contested mark in the game.

The arrogance is strong in this one

Anyway Petrie has been our KF all year and he has had an incredible season. He only has a run in the ruck to shift the load off Goldy because of the absence of H-Mac.

And just because I said Petrie is more versatile (which he undisguisedly is) doesn't mean I think he is the better player.

i love the way petrie goes about it, he's like the new richo.

in saying that, cloke is a better player.

although it is hard to measure, considering how dominant the pies are.

i dare say that there isn't much between them.

Who has been better this year? Cloke

Who has had it easier this year? Cloke

Who is the better player? Probably Cloke. Not by much though.

If Petrie played for the pies and had his supply as Cloke and Cloke had to receives Norths (which is really bad against good teams) then you all would be saying Petrie

Cloke has had a better season as he should be. Is he a better player? Cloke is a lot younger.

Arrogance? no disrespect to Drew, i've rated him for a while and he's always been underrated, this is the first year he's geting some kudos, Drew's probably the second power fwd going around but compared to cloke there's still a fair margin, Cloke has been that good, he's a big reason for our success and is our most important player.

Ooh, snap! Why should we be voting for Cloke then?

Well, I'm voting Cloke.

Like Petrie though. Wouldn't mind getting a trade done to bring him over to Collingwood. Haha.

Gee I miss the 90's. Power fowards like Carey, Ablett, Lockett, Kernahan and Dunstall all playing. It just goes to show the decline of the power forward when we have a Cloke in the top couple of forwards.

Voted Cloke,

Easily best power forward in comp ATM? He's a monster who owns the Contested mark.

Wouldn't swap Petrie for anyone though. Absolute barometer for how our forwardline play. Love the way he goes about it!!!

I hope both make the AA team

Cloke is 5 years younger and is already better. Not even worth discussing.

Don't blame Kanga's fans for saying they wouldn't swap Petrie for anyone though. That bloke would kill for North Melbourne

My opinion is Cloke is well on the way to being an all time great CHF ; up there with Hart, Brereton, Kernahan, Carey and Brown.

Nb: All of them multiple premiership players. Unfortunately I think Cloke will join them this year.

Petrie's very good but on the next level along side someone like Tredrea.
