Adam Simpson - took the Eagles from strength to strength in his first two seasons followed by two equally disappointing seasons. Expected a flag and missed the finals instead. With an aging list will need to make finals to remain beyond next season.

Luke Bevridge - After the incredible 2016, the Dogs were this years biggest flop. With high expectations and a keen President finals are a minimum

Nathan Buckley - although now likely to stay on until at least 2019, which should keep media at bay, internal pressure remains. Must improve w/l ratio

Ken Hinkley - has yet to have a win beyond week 2 of the finals. Will be into his 6th season. Grand final or bust.

Ross Lyon - despite some competitive performances a string of 100 point hidings have the Dockets asking if he is the right man to go forward with.
Unlikely that he will survive the bye if the Freo are bottom 4.

Brad Scott - stuck in no mans land. Needs long term commitment or may walk.

I don't think he's in any immediate danger (and I feel like it will turn around next year), but if Carlton's 2018 is like their 2016/17's, I think Bolton will start to feel the pinch a bit.

Agree with the list too, Lyon/Scott probably in the gun the most there.

We are a really good chance to be in the bottom 4-6 next year with our list profile. I will guarantee you that as long as we aren't getting belted every week Lyon won't get sacked at the bye.

Funnily enough, unless the new GC coach is Paul Roos I think whoever it is will be under pressure immediately.

Good thread concept. I like the list. I'd probably add Alan Richardson to it as well. I feel as though if St Kilda don't make the 8 next year there will be some heat coming his way. They'd want McCartin & Bruce coming on with Riewoldt gone.

Would you add Leon Cameron if GWS don't make a GF this year?

Of your list I'd say Simpson, Hinkley, and Lyon are under the most pressure. Port would be wanting to make a preliminary final minimum this year, they've struggled to beat anyone in the 8 and they need to deliver something. WC need to drastically improve for Simpson to have any chance of another year in 2019.

I'd say Ross Lyon would want to at least show something in this last round. They've dropped off dramatically since 2015 so it's really time to show there is a list there that can play finals again soon.

I don't think so. They'll give someone a good 3 years to get it together. Next year won't be pretty, but 2019 they'd want to be improving with finals on the cards in 2020. Let's face it, if they don't play finals by then they never will.

Just imagine if Bucks gets a two year deal and the sacking talk is just as strong this time next year. At least with a new coach you'd feel like progress is being made towards something. With Bucks still in place and Collingwood still getting flogged, it'd be same old same old. I think the fans simply wouldn't turn up.

Buckley - if he survives
B.Scott
Lyon
Simpson
Hinkley
Bolton - Blues need to win 8+
Bolton will be ok for one more. They'd want to be improving though. They need to get out of that bottom 4. Competition is going to be tight again next year.

Since Essendon wants to welcome back Hird, I reckon a few knives will be out for Worsfold.

No way would Beveridge be under pressure. 2019 maybe if they continue but he delivered them their first flag in a period where many weren't expecting it. He is fine. Not to mention Bulldogs weren't terrible; sure they didn't make the finals but they lost a couple of close games, finished just outside the 8; nah he is fine.

Simpson is screwed if eagles miss out on the finals again. And I imagine the pressure would be on Lyon if they have another terrible year despite his contract. Richardson probably as well.

First Premier since '09 to miss finals and looked miles off it all season.
Reports of major disharmony behind the scenes, players coaches all the way up to the board.
A favourite son stepping away and a few Premiership participants to be traded no doubt.
Got to wonder what the future holds for the Dogs.
Are they returning from whence they came after the briefest moment in the sun? How hard will they fall? There's potential for a major and sustained crash here I feel, "Footscray has gone dark" style.
I wonder will the AFL need to step in and assist as they have with this club in the past and are currently with the GCS?
