Great job again by Nick. But the consistency of Josh Daicos. Doesn’t get the big votes but now 9 times this season he’s featured in coaches votes.

Mitchell on 11 doesn’t do justice to his season at all
He’s been the biggest aspect causing the Pies’ improvement this year IMO. My theory is that Fly is deliberately not giving him votes so oppo scouts don’t notice how vital he is.

So he’s 14 votes clear of next best currently…. I’m almost speechless
In Dusty's "GOAT" season in 2017, after round 17, Dusty was on 82 votes. In fact, having a quick browse going back to 2006, Nick's year-to-date tally is the highest ever, except for Nat Fyfe in 2015, and on par with GAJ in 2007.

Hi Jen,

Updated the Pies list. Looks like we missed Jamie's 5 votes for the Gold Coast game. Looks like my stuff up:(

Not sure if he received any votes earlier in the year.

Thanks.
I doubt he would have earlier in the year. Hasn't had a great year overall,, given his shoulder injury.

Quaynor was good in the second half but he also conceded a few goals in the first half which should’ve precluded him from being best on in ground.
Wouldn't be surprised if McRae was responsible for the 5 to Quaynor. I don't think we see our defence as individuals against individuals. Weightman scored goals, yes. That does not necessarily mean they were the fault of Quaynor even if he was his designated opponent. Our defenders zone off a lot, they are not expected to stick to their man and be solely responsible for them.

Great to see recognition for Quaynor. Deserved a 10 in a career best game, but Nick just too good.

If that's true he's definitely fooled David King. He thinks Mitchell should be dropped or at least be under pressure. Pies are too good to carry an accumulator and Mitchell's clearance numbers have dropped off.

King actually clarified on SEN today was that he meant Mitchell will get forced out of the centre bounce more often with Nick dominating.

King has usually been very astute with his analysis but he’s lost if he thinks this.
