Peter Bell: You look to be going at 50% in a bid to last the whole season. Better 11 games at 100% than what your delivering at the moment.

Heath Black: One of the few players who looked to be giving their all. Just need to get your kicking on target. Be careful about giving away stupid free's.

Andrew Browne: Unlucky with the hamstrings, but unfortunately i don't think you make our best 22 any better. Though your desperation is unquestionable.

Adam Campbell: If it wasn't for Tarrant you would have a spot every week. Unfortunately your development came 12 months too late. 8 goals in the WAFL should see you take your spot next week...hopefully.

Josh Carr: Desperation is great, i don't think your that great a tagger. If you could improve your kicking we would be a better team.

Matthew Carr: If your going to jog around the field at the same pace people power walk there's no point being on the field. How bout striding out and making it to more contests. Also your kicking is the worst its ever been, which is a worry since your a senior player.

Clayton Collard: looking forward to your debut, which may be a little premature with Farmer losing the plot. Hopefully if you play seniors early you don't get injured. Which can often be the fate of youngsters blooded too early.

Troy Cook: Good tackle, poor disposal. If our players were more committed to winning i doubt you would have a spot.

Ryan Crowley: Improve your kicking.

Steven Dodd: Improve your kicking.

Marcus Drum: Where are you? Your form last year was good.

Paul Duffield: Improve your disposal and you will become one of the best players in the team. Aerobic capacity and commitment are always there.

Ryley Dunn: Too injury prone.

Jeff Farmer: What a difference it would of made if you were around the first 6 weeks. Very selfish acts the last few weeks.

Daniel Gilmore: Hard to say where you fit in. Not very fair being played as the 2nd ruck. Perhaps a wing. God knows you would chase until your blue in the face. But is that enough?

Antoni Grover: Your not our FB, your too small. You played OK today but Brown still did well. Lose some weight, get back to your sprinting and stop being beaten on the lead.

Robert Haddrill: Hope you make it back from injury, its been a long time since you played FB for us. Not sure who you can displace from our backline.

Paul Hasleby: Lose weight and become more of an athlete, its not rocket science. People change their body habitus every day. It just takes commitment. That doesn't mean going half-paced on a bicycle for 30 minutes. Your an excellent footballer now its time you got to more contests.

Roger Hayden: Your back in top form. Pity about those around you. Even so, i don't think your going to become a midfielder. Stick to being the best back pocket in the league.

Des Headland: You spend too long spectating. You need to run harder because we all know you can. I want to see more runs from forward to defence and back again.

Garrick Ibbotson: Hows that development going. Good height, pace and kick. Keep pushing hard your time may come.

Michael Johnson: Cool, calm and collected in the backline. Man on man you need to improve.

Justin Longmuir: Good work getting a four year contract when your knee's were stuffed. Its not your fault doing that but we need more from a 400k player. I hope this time off fixes your knee.

Shaun McManus: What a legend, your kicking has improved exponentially.

Luke McPharlin: Your our FB. Accept it. There are rumours you still want to be a forward. Does today confirm what we've known all along. Your better in the backline. Also lets see the same urgency inside our defensive 50 and on the wing.

David Mundy: Great when you don't have an opponent or an average opponent. Work on your one on one contests.

Ryan Murphy: So good last year, where are you know? don't be a 1 year wonder.

Shane Parker: Getting close to hanging up the boots. Turnovers from your most experienced players are not acceptable.

Matthew Pavlich: Superstar.

Brett Peake: Not the best start to the season when we really needed you firing. Unfortunately injured. Get back soon. Also kicking could improve.

Aaron Sandilands: Lets get more taps to advantage.

Byron Schammer: Unlucky with injuries, i heard you had a massive preseason.

Dean Solomon: Sometimes there's more to games than just throwing your body around. But you have been good so far.

Chris Tarrant: Excellent leading, don't drop your head at the end of games it'll take the attention away from the poor performance in the midfield.

Scott Thornton: Who? you've been gone so long.

Robert Warnock: Great debut, contested mark on the wing was top notch. Awesome goal also.

Luke Webster: Amazing kick. Good tough footballer. Need a bit better aerobic capacity and pace. Though after 3 knee recons i'm willing to wait.

Very good analysis rgauci, agree with most of that.

If Farmer had taken the 4 weeks like most people thought he should he would have played today. :(

Agree on some; disagree on others.

If Matty Carr is going to play purely as a tagger, then we need to give someone else a run. Its not just his speed. He's got no athleticism, and is not great in contested situation overhead, and is poor below his knees. His confidence looks don, really down.

Parker was dreadful today. Not sure who takes his place while Hadrill and Thornton are getting fit. I think we really miss Thorntons speed and his skills.

Hasleby and Bell and Josh Carr and Mathew Carr. Four is two too many. We need a couple more athletic, skilled, one touch midfielders.

And after five seasons I question Hases's ability to play away. Whenever he gets on a plane he just doesn't seem to get off it at the other end.

And I'm sure Mundy seems lacksadaisical because he is.

But you're off the mark on Grover. He's very quick. You don't see the blocks and shoves etc on TV that give the forward 5 metres.

Too tough on Hase. He is just one of many plodders in our team. Keep J Carr and Hase. Give Bell a good send off in a year or two and rip the guts out of our midfield and get some bloody pace.

Luke McPharlin: Your our FB. Accept it

I was so surprised to see him in the fowardline. We don't need so many talls in one fowardline. We need more crummers in there. This year we dont seem to play the free man in defence anymore. It seemed to work last year... why arent we using it this year:confused: .

McPharlins fowardline pressure is awful. He seems that much more committed and active in the backline. CC better move him back to the backline for good next week.

I've got it on good authority that McPharlin still wants to be a forward. Conceded to being in the backline for the good of the team.

You really need your backmen picturing themselves as the best backman, not thinking about playing forward.

He's got to be told.

Good analysis there. Agree with just about all of it.

I think we should debut some of the young blokes. Can't hurt at all.

Wow!!! :eek::eek:

All this about the team that was flag favourites only 8-10 weeks ago.

Funny ol' game this Aussie Rules, isn't it???

i hope they didnt play him forward becuase he asked too

It's a funny thing - the old Butterfly Effect (and I don't mean our blokes flitting around the ground just trying to look pretty)....

1. Jeffrey has a reasonable pre-season and we are hopeful that he will continue the form that saw him kick 55 goals last year.

((i) at this point Wiz could choose to play out the last 10 minutes of the meaningless pre-season game without incident.)

2. Jeffrey has a brain-fade in a meaningless pre-season game.

3. His points total a 6 week suspension - but offered 4 with a guilty plea.

((ii) at this point, after viewing the vision, you'd think the most sensible thing would be to say "thanks we'll take the 4 weeks".)

3. They decide to contest the unwinnable at the Tribunal, where the only possible outcome is that Farmer will get the full 6 weeks.

4. Jeffrey is rubbed out for 6 weeks.

5. It's the eve of the round 5 game. Had they chosen not to contest the sentence in the pre-season, Jeffrey would have been lining up for his first game the next day.

((iii)I dare say, were that the case, Jeffrey would not have been at the Paramount that night).

6. Wiz has another brain-fade and drops himself deep in the doo-doo.

7. Wiz is then suspended for another 6 weeks...

8. Jeffrey will now not be back until at least round 13.... if at all....

9. We are left without a top 5 player and genuine matchwinner....

How different would things have been if not for:

(i) Jeffrey had've kept his annoyance in check and kept his bloody fingers to himself.

(ii) They hadn't contested the charge, and had taken the 4 weeks.

(iii) He had've stayed away from the Paramount.

If only, if only, if only.... :o

Wasn't that the Polak story as well? That he wanted to be a forward, that's why they persisted with him, even when it was obvious he wasn't a forward's arm-pit, and he played all his best footy in the backline???

Since when do players have a say.

We have a little project player at Brisbane called Merritt. last season he was learning to ruck around the ground and be a forward. Now he is our full back.No choices given.
I never thought they got a choice in what they did? odd that one.....

Well that's what you'd reasonably think, yeah.

So, you guys have serious issues then in your football department...

 No..... you don't say.... :D

Apart from our drafting which has been reasonably good over the past 5 years, we still have too many soft players for whatever reason (I say it's the coach, others disagree).

I mean if our midfielders and forwards just jog behind their opponents and let them mark uncontested, why shouldn't our backline not do the same?

Who told you that?

No offense but "I have it on very good authority" means sweet FA!

I'm being dead set honest here

Can ayone tell me if it's possible for supporters to win a premiership from sheer persistence because our team sure wont

Perhaps thats something for the AFL to consider, some kind of award for supporters who have more passion and patience then their team :mad:
