If this is true than he will be making a big mistake because i can't see the pies winning a premiership before he retires with the cats, hawks, dogs etc probably near the top. It isn't just about money and some players need to use their brains when picking who they want to play for.

Im an electrical contractor and I was down at Olympic Park mate and I saw Eddie had the premiership cup and he told me Collingwood had already won the 2008 premiership maate. He reckons the contract is already signed mate.

P*$$ Off!

Cousins will be able to teach the kids down at Collingwood a lot.

Specifically, he can teach Didak that when you're in a car incident and the police are called, you don't hang about. You do a runner. Doesn't matter if Plod is chasing, you're an AFL footballer dammit, you should be able to burn them off in a couple of Ks. The Yarra is just as easy to swim through as the Swan, and I'm sure there are any number of restaurants in the Kew area who could have offered Alan a towel.

He can also teach Alan that you don't actually need to sit in a police interrogation room and tell them all about your brushes with the seedy side of the local community. That just opens you up to all sorts of nasty things, like questions and the truth. Nah, tell the constabulary to get stuffed. You've got mates in the right places, not to mention that the club will back you to the hilt up to and possibly including implication in major crimes.

Finally, Ben can educate Alan that you don't have to hide away from the media. Relax mate, they're pushovers! Feel free to act as arrogant and unrepentant as you like, the fans will support you and that's all that matters. If all else fails, Garry Lyon will come to your house in a nice cardigan and slobber all over you. Job done.

Yep, Ben's full of lessons for life.

2. If it is going to be the PSD, can't see why someone won't call Cousins bluff and draft him for what is effectively the 38th spot on a list.
That's an expensive move, if you draft him and he doesn't want to be there, doesn't apply himself and you have a wasted list spot and still have to pay his salary.

Like Embers said, no-one's going to draft Cousins against his wishes.

If Collingwood do get Cousins then I will be very happy.

If!

Who gives a rats what other teams supporters think?

For god's sake if you aren't intelligent enough to follow a decent club your opinion is not worth jack.:D:D:D

Carltoon out of the finals...is this just rumor or could it be true?

What I find quite funny is everyone is saying someone else should just draft him and if he won't play for them, no great loss as it is the PSD and it might be worth the punt. But if Collingwood take him they are wasting their time and should look elsewhere.

Some how that just doesn't seem to make sense.

He should slot in nicely with

RUTTEN
BROWN
KERR
JUDD
LOCKETT
ABLETT
DUNSTALL
CRAWFORD
COX
AKER
VOSS
RICHO
WILLIAMS
KERNAHAN
LLOYD
HIRD
LUCAS
SILVANGI
FLETCHER
PLATTEN
WEST
JOHNSON
RICCIOUTO
TREDREA
PAVLICH
BRERETON..... WHOOPS you got that washed up hack...:D:D:D

Don't forget that we recruited G. Healy after he retired from memory.

that washed up hack kicked 30 goals in his last year of football, won us a game by takeing a great grab and kicking home the winner and was great for sav during that year

some washed up hack he was eh

I raise your Mal Michael with a Paul Salmon.

as I said earlier, when essendon does it, it's a 'tragic waste of a spot on a list for an untried youngster in the psd and the sole reason the club is not in the finals now', yet when collingwood do it, it's the last step in their quest for premiership glory (lol).

mal michael has been patchy granted, but if you don't think salmon was any good when he came back, you're a fool.

Why would a team have to pay him if he refused to play, train or even negotiate?

So basically Collingwood are saying they don't want Kerr or Brown. Because they wont want to play with Cousins.

Depends on what his wishes are. "Signing" with Collingwood (did I miss the advent of free agency?) simply signals a preference.

If the priority is playing AFL, then he will have a choice to make.

Salmon was a B&F at Hawthorn and is in our team of the century.

A bit of research wouldn't kill you.
