Important step in our road back to AFL relevancy.
No more will the Carlton captain be intimidated.
The hunted becomes the hunter !!
great point - always felt murph was a bit cap in hand when it came to other leaders.......

Choosing between Patrick Cripps and Sam Docherty would of been a nightmare, this is only time I can approve dual captains because they both demand and ooze captain material.

2018 was outstanding from Patty Cripps, just stoop up in Murph's absent throughout the year and the way he carried the team on his own back and is a perfect example of leading in front.

2016 to 2017 Sam Docherty was outstanding, his is our backline general and was sorely missed this year. I remember countless times in 2017 where he would go back into the flight of the ball and put his body on the line in close game.

Congrats to bother Sam Docherty and Patrick Cripps, can't wait to see them lead the young group next year.

I'm not a huge fan of two leaders in one organization, two bulls in a paddock and all that.
I mean is there such a thing as two Prime ministers at the same time? It just doesnt wo...

..oh wait

Signals movement into a new Carlton era. Loved watching Doc on the sidelines this year. Seems a natural. Crippa is just, well, Crippa. Bloody beast. Leadership is a collective in this era anyway and acknowledges the distinctly different styles of both lads. Might even help with recruitment this weekend!

Congratulations guys.

Whilst it flies in the face of our clubs tradition, I also see this as a statement that this group is going to forge its own tradition.
