Do we care less about the fact we are the worst team in the comp at stoppages? As per the above post by happy mastinator.
Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking. The comment I replied to was about the implications of changes to ruck rules.

Mobile is good, mobile is great.
We're playing a lottery though.

We drafted Barnett on the back of strong performances at age level, but he was large at the time and it hasn't translated to when he's playing against real sized opposition.

CDT has been competing but definitely not dominating. On one hand we're not being sold a false idol, but on the other if he didn't develop at all, what are we gaining? A tall athletic utility not dissimilar to Big Bad Bailey J Williams or a Luke Jackson mobile around the ground competitor.

I tell ya, I know he's Purple but I love watching Luke Jackson.

I have been team draft midfield, but your highlighting of the change of state does make me stop and think

Maybe I have been converted into a take Cooper Duff-Tytler fan, with the caveats:

He may or may not end up in the ruck, and almost certainly not as a first ruck.
He definitely doesn't move the ruck needle now or anytime soon.
He is a risky proposition.

Also, if it happens, there is a t in the dudes name. TYTLER. NOT TYLER. TYTLER.

That'll get old reaaaal quick.

I'm still team midfield at the moment too but CDT looks more tall mid than ruck so if the rules do change, it potentially changes our draft strategy as well.

The changes to the ruck rules will result in far less set play stoppages and a lot more kaos.
So stoppages will be less of an issue? I don't understand where you're going.

There's something wrong with your face, you should see a doctor pronto,
Man, not gonna lie, I did try and get A.I. to edit my face into a Mop (not really sure why, my face is on the podcast livestream) but it uhh

Didn’t go well.

Is Mitch McGovern someone we would go after for cheap? Just seen the AFL.com.au article

Our of contract and not getting picked atm at the Blues

Not sure how keen I'd be tbh but
Carlton are playing silly buggers with mitch mcgovern .

Apparently if he played 2 more games he would have triggered a contract extension on very good salary .

Carlton not picking him so he wont trigger the contract but they still want to sign him just on a smaller wage .

Sounds like their big salary spending has caused a squeeze . Talks of trading contracted players to release salary cap

.
Not being able to match rival offers for silvangi who they want to sign for unders because he is a father son whilst paying overs for other players .

Similar thing happened to them last year, we were able to pick off a valuable small forward who they squeezed out. That’s worked out beautifully for us.
I'm not advocating to take mitch but it wouldn't surprise me if the club is pulling every lever to ruin , I mean improve our list

Mitch McGovern isn't on much money at all.
Apparently took a huge haircut on his last contract.

He's believed to be on about $450 000.

Not triggering the extension was smart.

Why are Carlton not playing him so he wont trigger his contract then ?

Do they want to delist him

I don’t want to cross tag posters (I’m not sure if that’s allowed) but Smythe on the draft board had mentioned we are into Jacob Blight who is OOC

23 year old 196cm KPD. Wouldn’t cost much but I am not against the idea of some additional depth in that space.
He should cost nothing and is a no brainer for us

Just the opposite I think.
They can also offer him a contract on less money if they wish.
Which is exactly what they're trying to do by withholding the automatic trigger which he'd have hit by playing two more games, no?

Otherwise what is the incentive to leave him out? He's in their best 22 I'd have thought.

I thought that's what I said.

I was replying to you saying "re-signing would be on bigger money".
I assume his money would be the same.
