Incorrect, there grandfather from the Warner side is my uncle & is happily living in his own home in country Vic…. Spoke to him last week 😂😂

Nah he is correct, my partner works at said nursing home where the Warner’s grandfather resides….
Assuming it’s the grandfather from the mother’s side possibly.

my partner was speaking with the grandfathers wife and she said Chad likely staying for two years due too the eagles doing so badly “will not be good for there careers” was the exact words used.

Warner boys will return back too WA in 2 years time and will head too the dockers if the eagles haven’t improved.

Also, Geelong is in a very different position to us. There are no question marks over their application and standards and culture.
They should have. Stengle, Bruhn*, Atkins crashed his car ‘grabbing his club pass from the glove box’ the victim has some decent injures from it I believe and some rookie allegedly assaulted a young female at a music event from memory all over the last 12 months.

Not one media person mentioned anything about these (Stengle excluded).

Ginbey taking a piss at a concert was talked about on SEN for a week

Dockers will need to find another flavour other than "vanilla" in the next two years time, otherwise we will be close to them in ladder position.

We just got to pray that they don't sack mumbles.......... he is doing an outstanding job delivering as he is at the moment.

Fixed it for you.

But that brings up a different conversation about WA media that I don't think this board is ready for.

I don’t do SENWA often.

Cornes had a bit of a crack but it was like Jan/Feb so not much too talk about but none of the Cats things got a mention (Bruhn understandably)

Barrass also looks like he could drop off very sharply. Still a gun in the air but seems an absolute liability when it’s not coming in long and high
He’ll still be great for their structure in the flexibility it gives them with Weddle and Sicily but I agree like Judd he’s played his best years at West Coast.

Well, I'm glad you asked. Thankfully I have already shot, edited and produced a video on Jobe's attributes, which you can find here:

To summarise Jobe's key attributes include the following:
  • pack marking;
  • contested work (both in the air and on the ground);
  • set shot kicking from distance (40+ metres);
  • football IQ and nous;
  • elite leading patterns and 2nd efforts;
  • endurance and up-field efforts; and
  • foot skills.

His main weakness was simply consistency game to game.
One game he might kick 4 goals from 17 disposals and 7 marks and the next he might only have 7 disposals and have no effect on the game.
The other one was just his height, however, he only needs to grow a couple of cms to be a legitimately tall key position height.

But, hey, I only watched Jobe play live about 18 times last year, so what would I know?

bet he hasn't even personally taken 400 photos of Jobe either smh

Agreed
Id hope in 2 years time we would have improved enough to entice him over

Couple of things on the Bont.

I don't think it can be underestimated just how beneficial that move could be for us from an off-field perspective. As others have mentioned here.. standards, player retention and acquisition would be just a couple of very important factors. From an on-field perspective I think the benefits are obvious. He's a gazelle and our young mids would walk taller around him.

Do I think it's likely? Absolutely not, but stranger things have happened and at least it's fun to chat about it here in the meantime.

Lastly, we all know The West is a shitrag and they have very likely poached bits and pieces from Bigfooty. However I think we all place a little more importance on what happens here than we should sometimes. I've read nothing but posters shooting the breeze about Bontempelli to the Eagles, no "inside" word or anything of the sort...so I don't subscribe to the notion that Jakob and Stickdick have run an article based on the musings of a few posters. Either it's a leak from the club or it's possibly even leaked from Bont's camp. You don't publish an article like that based on some nuffies pipe dreams

eaglespremiers does a lot of media for the Pioneers and does a fantastic job. He’d have a wealth of media on Bendigo boys, Harley, Jobe, Cole, Long etc. We’re lucky to have him contribute to our board offering insights from actually being at the CTL games providing far more detail than you can get from online streaming or reading analysis.

Chad has trained his grandma good ..

Bit confused. The first half of your post is about how ruckman take quite a while to develop and the best ruckmen are generally on the older side but then write of BW who is only 24.

Understand why people want Flynn back in but I've got a lot of respect for BW who has had to shoulder far too much too young because we haven't managed our list effectively.
Easy to understand, despite being the least experienced in AFL terms, Flynns numbers already outstrip BW, a guy that has played twice as many games. As for the other 3, they have taken years to reach the stage they are at and Flynn is already equal to or better than them despite playing less games. It is quite possible that Flynn will get even better, as those 3 have. I'd like that to be true of BW, but it shows no signs of happening.

West Coast supporters thinking a good ruckman is going to turn our fortunes around.

Bailey Williams must be our Kryptonite and if we replace him we become superman again.

Classic.
not at all but I'd hate to be a WC mid relying on BW to win a tap, and then to direct that tap to me. From 126 ruck contests v GWS and Carlton, BW won just 2 hitouts direct to one of our mids. Briggs and TDK had a combined 30. That right their demonstrates BW's lack of effectiveness. I think if Flynn can continue the form he showed against Essendon, he's a far better option than BW. Do you agree 🤷‍♂️

What has Bruhn done?*

*allegedly

Was always going to happen. Sugar hit initially for Hokball, just like the Vic wank media harped on after they notched up a few wins...

But long term the picks obtained for Barrass are so much more valuable to us with our rebuild and replenishing our list than rolling out a bruised TB to get pumped for another couple seasons.

Currently picks what... 12, 30 & 48 for TB and pick 55 (before dilutement with bids and FA compo)

I do wish him the best of luck though. It can't happen this year because we've got their picks obvs, but I'd love to see him win another flag for them.

Agree fully with the first three paragraphs, however whilst I wish Barrass no ill will, there is no world or scenario where I want to see him win a flag playing for those kents

You obviously didn't see my post after visiting the MIL again. The name on the door was Berry if I remember it correctly, so I assume he is their grandfather on the mother side. Whoever he is the Warner boys visited him and the nursing home have the pictures to prove it.
