Not sure where Liam Ryan fits.

Maybe Essendon?

If so, get in Zac Reid’s ear and get him over here to play with his brother. **** it, why not actually try and target players from other clubs for a change…

Brockman was OOC and adamant he wanted to return to WA, specifically West Coast. We also had pick 1 in the PSD.

Ahh yes, but we didn’t use the PSD pick on him, we went on to facilitate an overly generous trade to maintain our good relationship with Hawthorn…which has just continued to pay of in spades ever since…

Agreed. I said at the time it was a poor trade for us and it still is, but that doesn’t change that Hawthorn wanted to keep him.

We absolutely should have used the PSD, baffling that we put Hawthorn’s feelings above our own objectivity and as you say, nice to see the favour returned…

I think the club would already have a pretty good idea of Harley's intentions one way or the other.

But if he hasn't signed a contract by the end of this season i would assume he is intending to go. And if the club thinks he is intending to go and Essendon came along offering those three first rounders for him at the end of this season i would be tempted to take it. I wouldn't actively shop him around. But i would let his manager know that if he is intending to go three firsts (assuming that they are not all outside the top 10) will get it done this year. But nothing less.

Because we could end up much worse off if we wait till the end of next year and the end of his contract to trade him. The nightmare scenario being he nominates a club with very little draft capital, such as Hawthorn, and we get low balled and stuck in a Mexican stand off like we did with Barrass. And that is a good chance of hapenning if he did go at the end of his contract. If it is left purely up to the player in this situation they are likely to pick a top 4 club, not a lowly club with a better draft hand.

If he is going i am more worried that we will get screwed than that we will have a trade bonanza, and if an offer i could live with came along i would take it rather than take risks trying to get more.

I daresay we won't be overly concerned with the hawks feelings anymore..

To be fair Hawthorn wanted to keep him.
to be fair letterkenny problems GIF

Too far our way TBH. Their 2 firsts + Z Reid for Harley would probably do it.
It’s better to start there than be like your good mate Clarke and enter the arena saying an early mid teens for Baker feels right!!!!

That said, as the picks stand I’d probably take the deal
