Long shot, but from memory we were monitoring him closely in his draft year.
And yeah he was an Eagles fan growing up.

I was surprised that Sydney cut him as he had shown a bit.
Also had a few niggling injuries that disrupted his progress.

I reckon a few Clubs will consider him when they get to their last pick as he has already had a few years in his he system.

That said it’s very hard to predict exactly what this draft holds as I suspect that fewer players will get drafted but a few Clubs might go recycled players at the end of the draft.

i.e. we're keen on Clark from Geelong but won't be be able to get a deal done, Freo likely to get him once the Hogan deal is eventually done - which itself won't get done until the compensation pick for J.Cameron comes through.

Asked about Aliir when Port were trying to snag him to see if he was on the table but was knocked back without question.

Sydney offering E.Taylor as icing in any deal over rucks but West Coast do not want.

Doesn't look like we are interested in C.Cox from Brisbane, Freo have been in contact with Brisbane however to check his value.

Seems like Freo want to move Hogan in exchange for Clark plus two mid-lower picks, one of which will be used on C.Cox.


As for other targets specifically West Coast related, I have heard nothing so far.

It's poor form to throw in a player who is guilty of domestic violence as a sweetener into a deal, he is lucky to even still be under contract.

TBH I'm not sure which one is worse (as far as contracts and trading go). At least Taylor's is pretty much done and dusted, whereas anything could happen in relation to De Goey.

Sydney purely keeping a player on who should had been sacked as currency during trade period is poor. At least we can presume the innocence of the other player.

Everyone makes mistakes and at the very least Elijah Taylor has taken responsibility and admitted guilt. I would much rather a sit down discussion with him and if it went well to have him on the list than stack. Stack coming home is a bad idea.

looks available. I rated him top 3 in his draft year. Had a down year but a good preseason and he could own a wing or HFF position for us. It would likely take brander and out first pick this year or brander and our second next year. He'd also have to agree to move away from victoria so not likely at all.

Also still keen on stoddart as a rookie.
