We will keep him. He is learning the trade the Geelong way. He doesn't need to dominate at VFL level, he needs to do what the coaches are telling him to do. VFL is where we teach our system. Our focus isn't to win the VFL comp - guys like Constable and Narkle dominate at VFL level.

So why werent constable and narkle taught the geelong way? Why have they just decided to do this for stephens?

Whelp. I'm not going to ride this merry go round again. I meant he is a similar type, a big bodied extractor. Not that he will be a better player. I rate Cripps. Stephens is 188, so a bit shorter, but already 89 kegs and he is ripped.

Imagine if would be 'stuff' to help us land Henry. But yeah has little exposed AFL form so not worth a lot.

Sometimes these are the hits you take. It’s no good for the player to spend another season potentially playing VFL footy

Well now he’s a chance to come to us I can only hope my previous evaluations of him were wrong. And the cats fans were right.

I can only guess we will offer a future 3rd? Or 48. His value has definitely fallen massively since being pick 16.

Being contracted cats can always keep him. But I certainly wouldn’t be offering more.
