Amazing to see Pendles and Sidey included.Pendles is great but he seems to be rated incredibly by the coaches even when sometimes you might think that other players have done better. Just shows you what dire straits we are in with the oldies dominating the count. Disappointing years from some of the hgher profile fixture players like Maynard, Jordy, Moore, Checkers, McStay, Frampton, etc.Pendles' Copeland Trophy record:
2006 = ?
2007 = 2nd
2008 = 3rd
2009 = 6th
2010 = 2nd

I reckon Nick would've liked it thoughEmbarrasing for fly to make that 16 disposal comment then have nick not win the bnf.

. He was strangely sombre tonight...didn't smile at all during his speech.
If Checkers had committed to staying we would have heard about it tonight.Richards requested a trade the day after the Copeland last year- it can happen on weekends
He had a great season and I love him, but IMO he wasn't our best player this year. I'm sure Nick will win the Didaka in a canter if that hasn't been announced already. I think nine out of ten supporters would have predicted Nick as a clear winner. It's a shock result.I'm lost for words sometimes on this board. I can't believe people are congratulating Darcy with caveats. He's a winner, no ifs, buts or maybes. Well done to Darcy. A deserving winner.

I disagree - it was more a dig about the Brownlow voting.Fly’s stupid comments just heaped more undue pressure on nick. Bloody stupid comments when he would have known he didn’t even win the bnf. Rare poor moment from fly.

Although most in the top 10 are mids. Maybe it shows that our attack outside of Jamie was poor and our defence outside of Q was too. We were short of goals and there were too many bags of goals kicked on our defenders.Congratulations to DC - he's had a wonderful year and deserves his win.
I don't think Nick would hold it against him.
It was also good to see IQ get some recognition.
The Copeland isn't a midfielders' medal, unlike the Brownlow.
