In a study of 200 children aged 6 through 59 months, shedding of at least one vaccine virus was detected in 79% of children overall, and was more common among younger children (89% of 6- through 23-month-olds as compared with 69% of 24- through 59-month-olds) (523). Shedding had stopped in most cases by 11 days post vaccination.

In the very next paragraph of the very same report, holy christ.

"Transmission of shed LAIV vaccine viruses from vaccine recipients to unvaccinated persons has been documented, but has not been reported to be associated with serious illness."

If you have an immune compromised child, I'm sure being associated with vaxed or non vaxed kids could expose them to risks.

Not to mention GASTRO bugs, Flu's, chest infections to NORMAL vaccinated kid will still get.
Vaccines essentially administer a weakened version of a virus to a person. Too small and weak to be spread to someone else.

As for the other illnesses you mentioned, they're not in the same ballpark as Covid. But if people did the right thing and kept their kids away from school/childcare when sick, the spread of those illnesses could be significantly reduced. Again, it's dopey/inconsiderate f**kwits that ruin things for everyone else.

So I'm assuming that you guys would be happy to volunteer your grandparents to get the jab if it were rolled out tomorrow?

I mean, I'm just a little bit concerned after hearing about 23 elderly people in Norway dying after getting this very rushed vaccine.

If you think that's an unreasonable position then you can GFY. Doesn't make me anti-vaccine in the slightest.
23 out of 40,000 vaccinations of elderly. That would be 0.05%.
Here's the TGA's media release on that situation in Norway, that they were fully aware of.

I mean if you're that concerned about 0.05%, wouldn't you be looking at doing what you can to avoid catching COVID-19 where the death rate is signicantly higher than 0.05%?

As for my grandparents, in a hypothetical situation yes I would push for them to get the jab. Reality wise, I'd prefer that they the government didn't waste its time exhuming their bodies and waste limited vaccine supplies on people that have been dead for years.

Is it, what about Muslim's? They have a different thought system, should they be able to live in our country? Or only if it's following our rules?

Generally all citizens, including Muslims (or any other cherry picked minority), deserve a place in this country, and obey the laws.

I can't see what point you're trying to make, except some incredible logic leaps, such as comparing lockdown Victorians to vegans and the treatment of anti-vaxer to the holocaust

What, you don't think great measures have already been taken to avoid us catching covid?

We can afford to sit back and assess the situation. That 0.05% is still a risk, no matter how you want to spin it. Happy to take more time to see how this all goes, if you're full of confidence then good for you. I just think it's been pushed through awfully quickly.

As of a report in 2016

Smoking costs the Australian tax payer 136B. Even with that the government makes 9B a year off the taxes

This isn’t fully correct. That $136B includes intangible costs such as loss of life, pain and suffering and premature mortality. In realised costs it’s more like $19B. Also since 2016 smoking has decreased from 12.8% in adults to 11.6% in 2019 so the actual impact is decreasing year on year too. Also in 2020 FY tobacco tax contributed $17.4B

Channel NINE are linking the Melbourne case to the Australian Open. If that is the case it explains why Daniel Andrews was giving Press Conferences at 10 o'clock at night. Andrews was pretty much 'it will go ahead' when the experts said, 'don't do it Dan'.

Victorian Health have listed a number of possible contact spots in Springvale and Noble Park.

This has to be one of the strangest ideas the COVID Pandemic has produced.

I trust the AHA didn't pay for this. For starters it will take at least twelve months to get everyone in Australia vaccinated, secondly vaccination is not compulsory under the law, thirdly how would you prove you have had a jab, are we to have more big brother stuff like a 'I have been vaccinated tattoo'. I thought the idea was to get as many people patronising licenced venues as possible and help the hospitality industry through a tough period? If so this does not do it.

"The Noble Park man last worked at the Grand Hyatt on January 29 and returned a negative test after the end of that shift but later developed symptoms."

Perhaps you misread this?

30 minutes of drinking then a kebab?

That’s weird.
