Cricket haters

What do you guys say to people who hate cricket and try their hardest to pay out the great game?

Was talking to a new guy at work and I said I'm a big footy and cricket fan and he goes "oh dear" and rah rah rah babbling on about how boring it is and that anyone who likes the game should be shot, ended up with a full on argument and had to be broken up when he grabbed hold of my shirt and tried to push me against the wall He was into the Nazi regime and Adolf Hitler and whatnot and had no interest in sport whatsoever.

I mean, it's fine that they don't like cricket, each to their own but I hate it when people go out of their way to insult cricket fans and our great game.

I'm sure many of you have had the same experience (maybe not physical abuse) but what do you say to these people who are just complete ********ers?

Why would you get offended? If it makes you feel better then find something he likes, do some research and bag it in the same way.

I didn't get offended. He said he hated it and it was boring so I said yeah each to their own but he kept coming back for more and getting in my face.

I have no idea about the ugliness of his GF / wife.

try being a Football (Soccer) fan in this country

Just ask if they have ever sat down and really watched a match of cricket...the answer will always be "Iv seen bits and it bores me too death". Thats when you know that they are stupid.

He's clearly not the only cricket hater. There's plenty of them. Each to their own. I generally accept all sports for what they are and any sport that I watch a lot of I get into. Some people who bag mothers for not wanting to follow cricket over the summer because cricket nis the superior sport are morons. As far as bantering people who prefer to follow sports other than the ones they follow There's some that can dish out some light hearted banter and then there's some who are dumbarses that take things too seriously.

One lunch time at work I was watching cricket in the tea room. A girl walked in and exclaimed, "I CAN'T STAND CRICKET!!". I just said to her, "You're half right". When she asked what I meant, I said, "What you really mean is I can't UNDERstand cricket. If you understood it, you'd love it".

To other people I've aften said you need to have the capacity for thought to appreciate cricket. That usually annoys them

being abused for following the code in this country is mandatory

here here. cricket, golf, baseball and soccer are 4 sports that are seen as boring. i guess its what you're brought up with.

I love cricket, but let's face the truth, it can be boring. A game of footy can be boring too. Not every match is a nail biter in cricket. If someone says to me they hate cricket I just shrug and smile and say that's fine. The world isn't going to end because some nuff thinks cricket is boring
