SHOULD Virat Kohli fail to produce evidence to back up his claims that Australia is guilty of systemic cheating, he should be sacked as captain and banned for as long as the rules allow.

That’s the explosive opinion of one Indian journalist who has come down hard on Kohli’s incredible press conference after the controversial second-Test victory in Bengaluru.

The comments on the Indian article are an abomination - I've never seen such blind jingoism, even in some of the coolaid drinkers on the *Essendon board.

That's a bit harsh.

Mitch has failed with the bat and hardly been used as a bowler (not his fault) - but I've seen nothing to suggest he isn't trying his hardest.

I like Mitch as a cricketer (and as I've often stated, have little time for his brother), but IMO he's a bowling all-rounder and suited to the role of 3rd or 4th pace bowler. On that basis, he should never be picked in a team that plays two spinners. Sort of rules him out for tours of the sub-continent.

When he's picked to do a lot of bowling, I think it works because (1) he is a good bowler and takes wickets, and (2) it takes pressure off his batting and that might just make him a more regular contributor with the bat.

Shaun shouldn't have exposed him to the last over before tea in the 1st innings, btw. Another stupid piece of cricket from a (talented) player who has played stupid cricket for a lot of his career.
