As long as we get our traditional season opener and final game at home, I’ll be happy
I love tradition
The tradition I was referring to is Crows opening with a home game. That’s the only one that counts. If that is real, looks like a change in tradition.
Of course the GF replay starts off the season … when it’s two Melbourne teams!!!
Hopefully it becomes the new standard? Doubt it.
Looks like a decent round though.
I lost my faith in Ken thread will be going into overdrive 5 minutes into that game.Nice though start for Port
It would have been a perfect opportunity to give a non-Vic game a Friday night slot, given the Wednesday and Thursday games at the G.Collingwood v St Kilda on Friday night is a bit meh. Might wash my hair that night. Should have been Port v Brisbane.
Even Sydney v GWS Friday night would have been good considering their elimination final was an epicIt would have been a perfect opportunity to give a non-Vic game a Friday night slot, given the Wednesday and Thursday games at the G.
Port v Lions
Crows v Freo
Oh of course, yes I missed that. Then again Im not in charge of the AFL.Even Sydney v GWS Friday night would have been good considering their elimination final was an epic

Yeah the top 3 games of the round are the GF rematch, Lions v Port and the Sydney derby. Collingwood v St Kilda is the 9th most interesting.Oh of course, yes I missed that. Then again Im not in charge of the AFL.
Sydney v GWS would have been great to watch too on Friday in Sydney.
First 4 if you count the traditional Sat afternoon game.First 3 games in stand alone prime time slots all feature Vic teams
That’s a fox game though. I’d rather watch Hawthorn v North than the St Kilda v Collingwood game.First 4 if you count the traditional Sat afternoon game.
It's like the AFL planned out the first 4 games for the Victorian teams, then just squeezed in the rest of the teams.
Actually, it's not like that. It is that.
I wish some of the interstate clubs CEO's come out and say something about the obvious Vic bias round 1 has in regards to television broadcast. There is absolutely no reason to have all Vic clubs in all the prime time spots in a national competition
