It's a pet peeve of mine.

SellarStardom - please don't take it personally. This is one of the most common spelling mistakes on BigFooty and I believe it's caused by problems with the educational system. It occurs far too frequently to be a "typo". I believe it's because kids these days are taught to spell phonetically, rather than rote learning how to spell words correctly. English is can be a funny language at times... You were just unlucky to cop my response. You're certainly not the only one who makes this mistake and you're probably not even one of the worst offenders.

You will be under intense scrutiny from here on.

I don't have a problem with people who make the occasional typo. It happens. I have problems with words which are consistently spelled incorrectly - "lose" vs "loose", "rediculous" vs "ridiculous", "bias" vs "biased", "then" vs "than" to name just a few.

As previously noted though, I blame the decline in the education sector, rather than the posters themselves - who clearly know no better.

You can add this one too...using 'of' instead of 'have'.

As in, 'They should of known better'. It's 'should have' or 'should've'. Not that anyone cares.

If we can't win this week I think we should cut our looses and play the kids for the rest of the year.

And which kids would that be?

We have 8 with under 20 games experience in now.

If Walker has not yet signed with GWS I bet he would be feeling nervous about what he is currently worth! Probably wishing he took what the Crows were offering...

If he has signed with GWS I bet they are feeling a bit nervous about what they have just purchased!

I wouldn't think so.

Sheedy likes what he likes and makes it fit. Wallis wasn't good enough really to play AFL footy - but did, arguably successfully under Sheeds. He also loves his talent and would back himself in to get the best out of a guy like Tex.

Williams the same - loves his talent and would back himself in to get the best out of it - even when most wouldn't. (motlop etc)

This is exactly right. Tex would flourish under a guy like Sheedy.

Tex is the only player on our list with a point of difference as far as freakish football ability goes. His so called lack of defensive effort is such a blip on the radar of our club's real problems.

Walker's talent, rogue-ish flair and laconic attitude is the antithesis of everything about a Neil Craig side. If we lose him and retain Craig, that would be the final piece in the puzzle of our club's ultimate demise.

Yeah good call, I am sure if the GWS signed him on the drug money that had been rumoured they would be thrilled with his piss weak performances he has produced lately....

Do you have a comprehension problem?

They would see the talent and think they could get it to work for them. They wouldn't be overly frightened of his recent performances given he has the talent he does.

I think they would see a bloke who doesnt work enough and constanty looks terrible in a losing side.. When he does play well there are generally patches where he goes missing and doesnt even bother presenting. Yes he has talent but so did Cupido. He is playing like a bloke who just signed a massive contract...

He woud be one of the last forwards in the comp I would want in a young and up and coming team that will lose the bulk of its games in the first 3 years. In a top team he would probably be priceless.

And yeah, I have terrible comprehension problems..

If Scott Hodges had a clone we are looking at it.

So your done with him. No hope for him?

You better contact the club before they keep trying to get him to look at these extraordinary contracts they want him to look at.

Walker probably is but 1 player in a team playing rubbish... but his issues 100% reflect the bigger issues with our playing group.

We are talking about some of the weakest defensive efforts in the last 10 years from the same player inside a month.

I'd be happy with him raising his level in these areas to slightly above shit house... but we are miles from that atm.

I prey he's focused on fixing these things... but if he doesn't show signs of fixing it in the next 6 months we're in for some trouble especially if he gets anywhere near the money he might be demanding.

I mean come on...

Slippery Pete... what would you honestly think his market price is at the end of this year? Would you want the Crows to commit to such a player at such a price considering what it might mean for other players/recruits etc.

I'm on the fence... I take the good with the bad... and the 2 are at such massive extremes right now it's frightening... he just isn't worth a big contract at this point in time. I hardly think the club is going to implode if we do happen to lose him.

Exactly, Walker cant get his own ball and if not being supplied adds nothing. I said earlier in this thread (I think it was this thread) I would not be using much of my capspace for a key forward if I was a start up side. GC didnt. You need the capspace for defenders and mids. They drafted young talls/forwards. IMO Mids and defenders are the building blocks of the side and the key forwards finish the side off.

I would be surprised if GWS were offering the amount of money suggested (750k-1m) to Walker.

Then again Choco and Sheeds could do anything...............

I think Walker could still be anything. From Cupido to Carey.

All I was trying to say was his CURRENT market value is not where he would of been hoping it would be at this stage, especially if he hasnt signed with GWS.

If GWS have signed him for lets say $800k, GWS would be thinking, right now, they have paid about $600k too much.

In a young and up and coming side like GWS Walker would not be the forward I would be looking to pay a fortune for. He simply does not work hard enough.

I heard there was smoke comming out of Triggys office yesterday. Guess he had to keep warm some how.
