I do realise why most people have chosen Cousins. But I still think that most people dont realise just how good Shane Crawford is, I might be wrong, but thats what I think.

Personally I can't wait for that moment. My favourite Cousins moment (apart from the fact he has never once been caught using drugs, and has been absolutely shat on by the media - yet somehow kept his cool) was the 'comeback' game for West Coast in 2007, when he was meant to be unfit, out of it, recovering etc. and he racked up 40+ touches and kicked 4 goals, won WCE the match.
Just showing that social drug users aren't junkies, and that no matter what Benny C does to himself, he's still better than 99% of the AFL.
I guarantee you, if he plays next year, you'll see him have at least one game where everyone just sits back and goes "holy shit, I forgot how good this guy is"
So you're saying, we've forgotten how good Crawf is.. even though Cuz hasn't really played for 2 years, while Crawf is not only a currently contracted AFL player who played out 2008,.. but also played in the most recent game of AFL, fresh in everyone's memories?I do realise why most people have chosen Cousins. Completely agree.
I genuinely wonder whether Judd was really as good as everyone thought, or if it had an awful lot to do with having Cousins by his side?

Now see I was thinking the same thing but in relation to Cousins when reading through some of the posts and while it may be mentioned later I didn't bother reading any further so I apologise in advance if the following comments have been made.
My thoughts were, how would Crawf had looked in a premiership team at his peak (he looked pretty good in 08) so imagine in his peak. I think Cousins is an exceptional player but we have yet to see him play in a team that he has had to carry single handedly so I don't see how posters can write off crawf with comments like "cousins without a doubt", "cousins by a long way".
I voted for crawf but only because I support the hawks. Both are quality players and for me if each were given the same circumstances they would be on equal standings.
Cuzz I rkn is better then Judd. And probably the best player I have seen. But to say he is miles ahead of crawf is ridiculous and the people saying it need to get a clue. Because crawf was as good in his prime but cuzz's prime lasted longer making him the better pick.
Did you watch him in the early 2000's?Cousins is an exceptional player but we have yet to see him play in a team that he has had to carry single handedly.
So you openly admit that you are comparing the form of a 34 year old Crawford (the Grand Final) to a 28 year old Cousins (when he played 2 years ago)? So you have, in fact, forgotten how good Crawf was.So you're saying, we've forgotten how good Crawf is.. even though Cuz hasn't really played for 2 years, while Crawf is not only a currently contracted AFL player who played out 2008,.. but also played in the most recent game of AFL, fresh in everyone's memories?
