Daisy picked up 5 votes of both Clarkson and MM.

Great to see effort rewarded. Also, had to laugh at the Age votes today. Heater didn't even get a vote. Absolute joke.

Walls had Hodge getting the votes in one of the most biased calls to date.
I laughed out loud when he almost spat out "that's not a mark" when Leon got paid what was a dubious one.
Let us remind Robert of Silvagni's "non-mark" of the century, the one that hit him in the face and rolled down his chest.

What a shitbag of a human being.:mad::mad::mad:

Well done Daisy.
Shame on 'NicNat' and his perfect 10 was worthy of headline's on AFL.com.au.

Hodge would get at least 1 vote.
I will probably get drilled for this, but I didn't think Hodge was that good. Had no bearing on the game what so ever, I saw a stat and it said he only had like 11 of possessions forward of centre, and missed a target most of the time.

I thought he was average anyway.

"That's not a human being".

Hodge was fantastic.

3- Thomas
2- Hodge
1- Shaw

Wellingham was good when it counted to his credit, but definitely had some quiet patches.

a side that smashed them by 64 points doesnt really deserve a vote.

Happens quite a bit, just last year Sylvia got 2 votes against us when we smashed them, same with Hasleby, got 1 vote when we flogged the dockers by 84 points, Goodes picked up 2 votes when we smashed the swans, and the crows picked up the 3 and 1 when we beat them.

This is gold :thumbsu:

I always criticise Thomas, but he proved me wrong on the weekend

He was good on the weekend but he has a consistent start to the year so far which is great to see. Even better was on the weekend daisy thomas > xavier ellis... might end up being the btter player one day

Robert "Give Him a Run in the Ruck" Walls made a number of comments on Saturday night that made it blatantly obvious that he has very little idea about our players and their role in our side.

I will probably get drilled for this, but I didn't think Hodge was that good. Had no bearing on the game what so ever, I saw a stat and it said he only had like 11 of possessions forward of centre, and missed a target most of the time.

I'm inclined to agree. The commentators were harping on Hodge's game, and Luke Darcy was even considering giving him the television for BOG. For all of Hodge's effort, he didn't really do much scoreboard damage IMO. Sure, he repelled a few of our forward thrusts which stopped us from getting a couple more goals, but he didn't seem to provide that much for his forwards (who were crying out for some good delivery) to score goals themselves.

Even though it was great that Heater's good game got recognised, I was kind of disappointed that Daisy didn't get the television. Still, it's great to see him playing so well and silence the doubters.

One player can only do so much. Hodge was a shining light in a team that look disinterested and flat. It's a team sport and even the best players will have trouble when the people around them play badly.

Good to see Thomas get some recognition though. Keep it up Daisy.

It's great to see that some opposition supporters are finally admitting that he is a good player. It's going to take a while for the others to come around though.

He should get the 3 Brownlow votes. He got a stack of possessions AND kicked 3 goals.:thumbsu:

If he can play even just 10 games this year with that much influence and flair. Wow! He'd be a brownlowmedalist. Fantastic game. Dads been telling me he was coming... I'd just about given up...
