95% likely to be an ACL. Praying for PCL but either way season over.
Giannis Antetokounmpo hyperextended his knee in last year's NBA playoffs and only missed a couple of games if I remeber correctly?

It looked fairly similar to Darcy's injury. Disappointed to hear you're that confident it's an ACL.

Sorry for intrusion
Hope injury to Darcy is not bad

Ice is a good sign at times because no ice means it maybe more serious so no point icing it.

To me it looked like a jarred knee I hope it is

Good luck

My physio mate pretty much echoed TRS’ post above yours. 99% sure it’s an ACL. Low chance PCL. Either way he’s done for the year, which really hurts us.

Absolutely horrible. Fingers crossed by some miracle its not too nasty.

Unfortunately, it looked horrible and I don’t like our chances.

It doesnt matter what we think it might be, we just have to wait for the scans.

I’m disappointed to be confident, I promise you. Praying we’ve somehow dodged the bullet.

It's the right (wrong) movement, there's a simple and conclusive test for it which they would have done already and I suspect we'll know shortly in the presser one way or another.

Feeling pretty pessimistic at this point, but in the flip side it's a real opportunity now for Dean to come in and do a Lunden Dunn-style job for us in the last three months of the season.

Yes the Lachman in skilled hands, performed immediately after injury, is statistically more accurate than an MRI. The club will know whether it’s an ACL, and they’ll give us some indication of optimism or pessimism, but they won’t usually say anything definitive until after the MRI.

with the 24/7 rehab AFL players get, it might be quicker - fingers crossed for the best
Absolutely - I was playing again in two weeks but it still hurt. Basically identical incident, up high, bad landing, you feel the knee jar back and you’re like oh shit

He couldn’t walk, he was in pain.

It’s scary because you don’t know what’s happened. But it just looked like a hyper

A forced hyperextension where the foot isn’t in contact with the ground, e.g. ruckmen’s shins colliding, is a PCL mechanism.

Foot on the ground and hyperextension is an ACL mechanism.
