Hi Mate, David Gately provides 2 best bets, 3 value bets, and 2x selections in Quad legs in Melb & Syd every Saturday with detailed form analysis as to why they can win. Also provides the same on Wednesdays in Melb Metro meeting but one word selections only..... Amazing value for the insight he provides

Here's a tip - all gamblers are losers. Every gambler Ive ever met has told me how they were going to be rich someday by gambling. All have turned out losers without exception. Love those Crown ads where everyone is laughing and smiling. Have you been to Crown Casino? Biggest bunch of sad sack losers I've ever seen.

Jeez now there's a gross generalisation. Take your holier than thou attitude elsewhere champ.

I enjoy a little gambling here and there. It's an entertainment expense, solely with disposable income. I don't expect to win, nor do I tell everyone about how much money I am going to make on the punt. Much like you would spend money on going to the movies, drinking copious amounts of alcohol or other things that you spend disposable income on, I like having a bet with a percentage of that.

The skill and toughness of the jockeys, and the animals themselves are awesome to watch. And I love studying the form, picking a few tips out, and yeah it's great to get a winner, but I don't count on it or expect it. And never does it break the bank.

You must be a sad sad human being who can make a generalisation based on their own sheltered experiences that tars a massive group of people with the same brush.

Hi Garygee (hope that's not short for glitter)... I'm an avid punter. Gambling has never and will never make me rich, and I avoid Crown like the plague and only set foot in the joint if required for a function or something. Most punters I know have a similar approach to it as me.

There you go, I've widened your hitherto narrow experience of gamblers. You're welcome.

holier than thou attitude .
Now isn't that a generalization?

Did I ask you to justify giving away your hardearnds?

The funny thing is the amount of punters that I know that know next to nothing about horses.
It makes me laugh.(I've owned two horses and ran a Riding School)

Another generalization about me? I'm sorry but I fail to understand why anyone would give their money away.
Why do you do it?
What do you get out of it?
Why do you get so upset when someone criticizes the process/dubes?

One of the telltale signs of addiction is:
Defensiveness. When others touch on the topic, do you feel your hackles rise, and do you instantly defend yourself with statements like: "It's not a problem for me, "If other people don't understand, it's their problem," "I can stop doing it anytime I want to," or "I'm not hurting anyone but myself?" But, in your inner core, do you know these things aren't true?

ps. I spend my disposable income on my family

All gamblers are losers. Except for you know, the winners.

Phil Ivey is one of the most success poker players ever and has made over $35 million playing. What a loser.

A question for Tony Karakatsanis, does a drenching kit (a rubber tube and a funnel) feel much like "a biscuit of hay"? Chief steward Terry Bailey said. "There is insufficient evidence the horse has been treated so he is clear to run." How much more evidence do you need?

The g is not for glitter. You never hear his songs on the radio anymore. I wonder why. They still play Micheal Jackson.

You may want to check out the definition of the word generalisation when you get the chance. You have made a generalisation about a large group of people, I have made a reference to your attitude. You can't generalise about one person.

I enjoy the challenge of picking a winner, doing the form, watching the sport. You give away your money every day too. I really don't need to justify myself to you and your tiny experience of gambling.

Take your preaching elsewhere. We don't need it here. Oh and there is a difference between 'touching on a topic' and making a blatantly ill-informed judgement based on little fact or experience.

Semantics. generalizations or assumptions, who cares? Maybe you'd like to provide a link to a definition you like? You win the punctuation competition OK?

What is so hard about these questions that they go ignored and not answered?

You give away your money every day too.
To who,what,why, how?.

I really don't need to justify myself to you and your tiny experience of gambling.
NO? You have though. Was that through defensiveness do yo think?

Take your preaching elsewhere. We don't need it here. Oh and there is a difference between 'touching on a topic' and making a blatantly ill-informed judgement based on little fact or experience.
Why, because you don't like it? This is not the punting board last time I looked.
I'm expected to put up with hours upon hours on end of gambling advertising any time I look at anything AFL related no matter what media? Why is that?
No comment on the Tony Karakatsanis issue either?
Is there any punter brave enough to look at themselves and truthfully provide answers?
