Davis set to play VFL

[HFF]

As the thread title states, Leon looks like he is playing in the twos this week.

Clearly, Mick is trying to get a "response" out of Leon before he returns to the senior side next week or the following week for finals.

Your thoughts?

agreed, everything is just some kind of unbelievable reality at the moment,
Seeing jack back in the side over medhurst has ruined my day, if there was ever a person who was more determined to leave a club ill eat my hat, cut him loose i say.

I swear Mickhouse could say hes dropping didak and bringing in Rounds for the finals and i wouldnt even blink at the moment.

I wouldn't have dropped Medhust but I definately agree with playing Davis in VFL. If he has a blinder he might get a reprieve but sitting on the sidelines does no one any good and he deosn't deserve a senior game on form. How could you tell Blai he is out for Davis after talking about team over individual for weeks re Josh.

Be interesting to see how he goes. Hope he comes out and plays really well and do the team things. Hopefully doesn't come out and go through the motions like O'Bree.

I also wonder - even with Tarks, Medders, Fraser being dropped back to the 2s - whether Davis thought he may have been a bit untouchable?

This reinforces more than ever that the team needs everyone at full power come September - you'd be supremely confident in your teammates with this kind of process, knowing that each of them is at the top of their game as opposed to relying on their reputation.

Why on earth was Medders dropped? Especially after MM admitted in his press conference that it was his fault Medders was left in the reserves too long. He also stated that Medders looked like a VFL trying to play AFL against the Bombers. So why oh why would you send him back to the reserves instead of giving him three consecutive matches of AFL where he can try and find touch and pick up the pace of AFL again.

Beggars belief really
