I'm not sure, pros are that he seems to have a good attitude and some leadership qualities, is performing at high levels, cons, he lacks athleticism, I think a club might pick him to play a role in the forward or defense or he might go undrafted?, definitely not like Ginbey, I don't think there's a combative athletic mid like Ginbey in this years Draft pool that I can think of.
agreed, and definitely not like ginbey at all

Havent seen him play but just going off stats (which means * all haha) seams to be going ok. No certainty to be a star like his father though

Has a player ever had a better pedigree than having Shaun Burgoyne as a father and the sister of Erin Phillips/daughter of Greg Phillips as a mother?

Ed Richards is part Pannam.
Jasmine Fleming's parents were cricketer (Damien) and netballer (Wendy) respectively plus mum Wendy's O'Donnell and Rankin lineages.

So far the only new player to stand out as a draft prospect has been Bodhi Ryan, I have really liked how he has played for SA, even in their 2 losses he showed something, Herbert for next year has raised his value also, I have been impressed with his game, Leake I liked for Tassie, but I think now he has a legit chance to be taken late, Kentfield had moments, but I'm still unsure about him, I didn't like Dawson or Van Rooyens games and Archer Reid hasn't done enough this year so far, Moir did enough to not slide too far, although I don't love his game style, Luca Slade has looked good and from my pov increased his value.

Vic Country are a mess, H.Reid should play back so he has the freedom to play the Luke Hodge role, get O'Sullivan and Day-Wicks in the team, play Duursma forward, drop a couple slow uncoordinated big men up forward, use Freijah and D.Wilson on the wings to push forward to kick goals and where is Frangalas? Also they need someone to win the hardball(contested footy), there's a lot of talent in Vic Country this year, but compared to last year, the team chemistry is lacking big time.

Herbert for next year has raised his value also
100% I have really liked Herberts games. Game 2 he didn't get much of it but I liked what he did when he got it.
Also agree with Harley. He's not a midfielder atm, he's a HB or HF. But i'm not sure he has the speed to play the High HB or High HF role. This time next year we will know.

He didn't play game 2, which is why he didn't get much of it

Harley can play mid, he relies more on fend off and gets a lot of attention from opponents, but he does well in there, i just prefer his role in defense with the odd stint forw or mid, wherever you need him to impact, a bit like JHF they have that impact that can be great or not there at times.

I actually meant last game vs VC.
Yes Harley can play mid but he's much better as a back or fwd. There are better mids than him. He's compared to Dusty and Dusty isn't a mid either.

WA v SA. No one new really jumped out of the screen for me today. Looks like most picks will come from VC, VM & Allies.
I mostly agree, the 2 newish names Bodie Ryan who I think showed a lot of quality under pressure for SA and Aiden O'Driscoll who I was aware of last year, stepped up to the level at the champs, showed speed and hard work that wasn't always rewarded, for me they were the 2 newish names from the champs so far.

Davo based on champs so far I gather you'd have Sanders higher now? Where do you think approx?

Has Clay Hall improved his ranking ?

I feel Eagles need a good accumulator to add to Ginbey/Hewett/Culley (if he stays) and Hall and Sanders seem to both be that. Both also seem to have good speed and not bad kicks, so if we do end up splitting then these two plus maybe a medium/small fwd eg Watson Caddy Tholstrup might be targets

Personally have Sanders 4 or 5 equal with Curtain and behind Reid, Duursma and Walter

Clay Hall i still think is around that range, maybe could improve to 25 ish but thats more so on others dropping back and it not looking that strong for me

Be interesting what davo says

We know Hall can find the footy that much at that level. Hes had 27 disp against a pretty experienced WAFL side this year. His acceleration and kicking looked better which may improve his overall standing a touch

Sanders has bolstered in a lot of people rankings talks of being top 10 now.
He reminds me of my boy JHF so much but he’s a bit more of an accumulator with less c factor

I like my top 10 or so, I would put Sanders at 12 based on performing to high standards at the best comp for juniors prior to AFL(I rate champs a bit more than state footy) Rogers and Curtin drop down 3 spots each I think, Hall probably enters 1st round conversation, around pick 20 or so, depending if he can continue his form at the champs, Hewett was a good example of only 1 good champs game reducing his value last year, that's my opinion, I'm sure clubs, journos and other draft watchers will have their own opinions that may differ.

All recent drafts seem the same to me in quality, except 2020 and 2021 when covid meant there was barely any junior football and there was a lot of guess work unfortunately, the only reason I liked 2018 so much was because there was a very strong dozen players that would probably go top 5 most years.(if you swap Chayce Jones out for Jordan Clark)
Are you saying you'd rather have Jordan Clark over Chayce Jones?

Where do you think the Vic Metro Captain Will Brown and Vic Country Co-Captain Harry De Mattia would rank at the moment?
I have liked Demattia a lot this year, some of his Dandenong games where he would burst through a contest, kick a goal or hit a forward were Dangerfield in his prime type burst, his kicking can be wayward, which is a con, stepping up to the champs, he showed a little, but hasn't yet had that "oh shit" play he has done at the Stingrays yet, I want to see him replicate that at the champs to make me feel comfortable to rate him a late 1st rounder imo

Will Brown I have mixed feelings about, he is a tall mid that seems to lack athleticism or effort, Im not sure which? He did have a good finals series and grand final performance last year, he has looked OK for Sandringham this year without blowing anyone away with his performances, im just not sure with him tbh, this champs series will hopefully clear things up for me when it comes to Will Brown.

Where would you have McCabe now following the carnival games. Hard one to read... he wasn't as prevalent in the games (albeit think he was near top for CD stats for 2 games), but did show some elite skills at times, especially with his speed and ability to run off and create.

Obviously I would measure it against how everyone else goes after the champs, but i don't think he dropped much in value, some good signs I thought even though there was some critics on the Hawks forum, I think he is still around the 15-35 mark, I think there's starting to become a top 15 or so then a group after that and he would be in that group imo.

Is that rough 15 the top 15 you have at the moment? Or

Reid
Walter
Caddy
Duursma
Watson
Curtain
R.Sanders
Mckercher
C.Osullivan

M.Edwards
Rogers
Read
D.Wilson
Delean
Tholstrup
