There seems to be a fair few good blokes/chicks on here and I have been thinking of organising a day out at the G for fellow Melbourne supporters where we could get together and watch a game.

Was thinking the Melbourne/Richmond game (Round 22). But we could also choose from the Melbourne/Carlton game (Round 20) or Melbourne/Gold Coast game (Round 23), which are all home games for members. :thumbsu:

Is this something that you guys would be interested in??

Thoughts.

If I'm not going to any of those games with mates or family, I wouldn't mind meeting up and having a beer or two with some fellow passionate Melbourne supporters.

Comrade DM - while there are some distinctively anti-social types (read = psychopaths) on this board, surely we can get together at half time at the Gold Coast match for a quick catch up (I can't off much more as I have young kids in train).

Please count me in for the Gold Coast match.

I'm in for the GC or Carlton game. My old man booked us in for lunch in the MCC restaurant for the Tigers game, I wanted to make a day of it with the attached expectation of winning.

This has been on the agenda for years & I tried to get this up again earlier this year.

Good idea & lets make this work. Some might say the Carlton game because more are likely to attend but against the GC at least we should all be in a good mood before, during & after the game.

Would be a little odd with the age difference, no?

I mean, some of you have kids, some of us (me, gazza, eth) are still 16 and 17.

The age difference could be an issue, but think of it as talking footy with your Dad! (jk's)

Although not my Dad, doesn't have the slightest of a clue about footy.

If I don't have any mates to go with I would be in.

I'm older than 95% of those who post here & that fact that Biff has procreated would also indicate that he too is older than many, but who really cares?

I have no plans to ask any of you out for dinner or make an indecent proposal (Unless one of you are Demi Moore). :o

The whole point is that this is a completely discretionary thing, if you're uncomfortable or not interested than politely decline of don't even express you thoughts.

It is 100% up to you.

I think the GC game is the one where we are really going to be struggling to find people to go with, so I'd suggest that one.

Or am I the only one facing that predicament?

Added a poll.

If you can go to any game select option one & the game you would prefer it to be as option two as I have made this multiple choice.

If you can't go to any or have no desire or inclination to meet up then select option two & nothing else.

Since Crimson went to the effort of making a pole, I'll be up for a meet up next year. Too much stuff going on atm.

It would be good if something like this could take place once a year. And from what you've said you are very busy at the moment so 2012 would be good for you.

Would we need to provide proof of BF identity?

I'd think it would be unlikely that someone off the street (or the 'G) would see our small convention and think "Oh look! They must be BF members!"

Unless someone was to send a representative in their place (like a model, geared up with an earpiece).

Please print this out and wear it MM. It may gain you free entry for being "special". :thumbsu:

Is this 100%? He hasn't said anything to me about it for a couple of weeks so we might want to double check.

I would be up for the GC game. Would enjoy having a couple of frothies with fellow Melbourne supporters. Maybe we can see if BigSexc is really that Asian dude from his photos.

I'm in, sounds like a good idea... not fussed which match, but are we talking a little half time meet-up? Down for that.

If you guys want to sit in the same bay/area and talk about the match, troll the opposition or just meet up at half time/before the match i'm up for it. Was sitting near some randoms at the Bulldogs match and it was one of the funniest times i have had at the footy.

Or if someone brings a barbie, i'll supply snags and some drinks before the match. :thumbsu:

are you and Crimson Azure brothers?

Sucks, the fiance's family is huge and has two communions on, one during the Tigers and the other during the GC game. Also got a friends birthday on in Geelong for the Carlton match.

Just realised I'm going to struggle to get to any other matches except probably the West Coast game.
