syfy have ordered a pilot for the show david goyer is involved. Deadline reports that Syfy is finalizing a deal for a series pilot order, with Sleepy Hollow‘s Damian Kindler coming on board as executive producer and show runner. Colm McCarthy, who helmed Peaky Blinders, is set to direct the pilot episode. With characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the production is moving forward thanks to a special arrangement with the Jerry Siegel family. Set two generations before Superman arrives on Earth, Krypton will focus on Superman’s grandfather during a time when the great House of El was “ostracized and shamed” on his home planet. The hero of the story must fight to redeem his family’s honor and save his world from a yet unknown new enemy.

apparently they are about to green light a show about krypton based before it blows up and superman.

Thats been in the works for a while but I thought that it had been scrapped. Presumably Jor-El will be the main character.

think its now happening there happy with the ratings of there tv shows etc. casting will be important as will budget not sure what syfy is like at those things

I can't possibly think of a less interesting premise for a TV series set in the Superman universe.

I like SyFy because they have a crack with original content, and as much as I curb expectations, it's hard to watch low budget Sci-Fi.

A show based on what's mentioned previously would have to have 5 star acting and superb writing, otherwise would be boring as hell IMO.

Interesting times! Though Wonder Woman changed directors IIRC so maybe it's a normal(ish) thing? Or maybe there is a big mess going on behind the scenes at WB on where they want to take the universe?

Wan would be a big loss IMO. Hope it's just a rumour and nothing more.

Think I saw George Miller might be in line for the GL Corp movie.

wan is a rumour so far but the guy directing flash is out. but then again this happened for a few marvel movies so doesn't mean its as bad as people think. wan is struggling with big productions since walker died apparently take it with a pinch of salt so far.

new rumors have the Cyborg movie scraped and turned into a Titans move, moved back to 2020. MoS 2 is expected to take its place [Scott Snyder who has been writing Batman comics, has just finished a early script for the movie featuring General Lane and Parasite].
WB want Ben Affleck to do a Batman trilogy with him directing them.
Talk of a Crime Syndicate movie, and having them as the villains in Justice League 3. [F**k yes]
Justice League 1 will open in a apocalyptic [Apokalypitc] future, will link into Barry traveling back to warn Bruce from BvS. and Willem Dafoe is playing Cleric and will bring Superman back from the dead.

No talk of a Justice League dark movie

Could see them turning it into a Titans movie. and might be merged with the Blue Beetle/Booster Gold movie that has been rumored for the past few years. it would be easy to have Beetle in the movie, but dont know how they fit Booster in, unless they have him as someone that isnt good enough for the Justice League so he is a go between for the JL and the Titans.
