Pretty sad that you felt you had to wait until Deledio had his best game of the year and Pendlebury's out injuried.

No! i decided to put it up due to a debate against a collingwood supporter, plus how can one game determine who is likely to become a future star???

Pendlebury, because he's a midfielder.

Even after Deledio's best game of the year, he still only proved capable of kicking a few goals against a side that was getting flogged out of the centre.

I wouldn't suggest that he's ever likely to be a gun forward, so he's still a man without a position.

I'll stick up for you i think it will be deledio, Pendlebury has the awareness & skill but Deledio has the awareness, skill, pace, marking ability & goal kicking ability so i think Deledio has the tools to be better but i still think both will be just short of the elite class but will be very good.

Tough question.

Deledio.

Deledio has huge upside and is better overheard after Deledio tore them a new one up forward on Friday night. Some might say Deledio doesn't have a position, but he can play in more positions than Pendlebury and hurt you with his pace and long kicking.

Deledio's game on Friday night was as tantalising as Franklin's best.

Freak.

Deledio without a shadow of a doubt.

His pace is Judd like.

Deledio's long kicking on the run and carry will hurt the opposition more than Pendlebury for the next ten years. Pendlebury shat himself on Friday night and dropped a contested mark after taking his eyes off the ball.

Mclean put him off by running back with the flight and went in harder.

Deledio is better overhead.

Pendlebury isn't that quick and appeared to be treading water when he was chasing Johnstone down the wing. Deledio looked like Kouta or Judd when he stole that ball from Braun, accelerated from a stoppage and hit a teammate laces out of the corner of his eye.

Pendlebury is the arguably the most one sided player in the competition.

Deledio would be a better addition to Grigg, Walker, Carrazzo, Murphy and Gibbs than Scott Pendlebury.

Both a bit over-rated IMO. Deledio is trying to get his career back on track. Not sure if playing him as a medium forward is the way to go. Needs to be developed in the midfield IMO, and learn to get the ball and deal with the opposition tags. I remember Terry saying he wanted to play him in the forwardline to escape the tags. He should learn to deal with the tags - it is part of the game. Pendlebury will be good, but sometimes looks slow and awkward, probably because his decision making is a bit slow at times. Will get better with experience. After their first year Deledio was probably a lot better but has gone backwards since. Right now Pendlebury is better, but is yet to receive any opposition attention which will be the real test. That's why Marc Murphy is so good - he gets massive opposition tags every game, and is still highly effective, but he's probably a talent class or 2 above there Delidio and Pendlebury of course, so the comparison is a bit unfair. :)

One sided?

Kade Simpson.
