Ok so what's the deal with that? They have to pay an extra $50 on top of the MCC membership to become a member of the footy club? Or has It changed since we are now a section of the MCC again? If anyone knows the numbers of how many MCC members are members of the footy club Id like to know. I'm not sure If this is the case but I thought there were around 20 thousand MCC members that support the Dees and only around 7 thousand are members of the footy club?

$50 extra counts you as a member of the MFC and gets you a scarf, plus texts and emails from the club.

$175 extra (out of my price range when MCC is already bout $500!) gets you access to Presidents functions and some other Jazz.

All pretty much a donation. I think theres between 20-35k worth of MCC who support Melbourne.

I hope we can clear this debt, I have alot of confidence that this administration with be able to turn some profits on this club once we have.

We will only achieve turn a profit with on-field success. The administration can only do so much, and an annual debt demolition is not the answer.

Not sure what our corporate support is like on matchday, but our attendances are still pathetic, because the team has been playing garbage football for 2 years.

No more excuses for the football department. Next year it's time for Bailey to demonstrate that he's a capable AFL coach, and not just a list manager.

I was a member of the MFC for some time and then I got an MCC membership and due to the cost, I stopped my MFC membership. Hadnt heard from the club for quite a few years and then when Paul McNamee was CEO, he actually called my mobile and personally asked me if I would take the $50 joint membership option.

I was pretty impressed with that and he was very nice so I took it up.

I dont think its all about the money directly from the memberships though. Corporate sponsors love hearing how many members a club has - or how big attendances are. And so the bigger clubs generally get the better deals.

For a 20 yo what's the best membership deal?

Depends how many games you can get to. I live in Gippsland and get to 7/8 games a year at best, I just go for the basic 11 game membership, cost me $165 this year. Worth it though, might be cheaper if yr a student or some other type of real hard work avoiding pleb. Ha! (I wish I could get concession. Stupid being an adult and not having any reason to be compensated with cheap ticket prices).

I've thought about going for the 17 game dealio, but I hate Eti-dome games and I'd never be able to get to most of them.

It's a big uni though so they are hardly in short supply but I am in the science area so that hurts a little...

I think I'll string a hammock between some of the bookshelves. That way I'd be able to look through the small gaps in the shelves above the top of the books and sus out any female activity on the tables.
