Ok guys/girls, This should be a great game, the dees are doing very well atm. The dockers like playing on the mcg aswell. I tip freo in a close one. 7 points.

Well we've won 3 in a row, you have won 2. By everyone's definition, we are both due for a big loss :D :o

If Whelan plays this week, I think we can beat you. Your ruck problems are going to hurt, especially with White coming into form and Jamar rucking well.
Some big inclusions this week with Neitz, Miller and of course Whelan.

Neitz might not be any good at the moment, but he inspires the boys and takes the heat off Robbo. Miller gives us an option for Pavlich and Whelan takes Farmer.

If we keep up the pressure that we've shown the last three weeks and get Mr.clanger (Godfrey) the hell out of our team, all will be well. Hopefully it pours :thumbsu:

Congratulations on coming back from 0-3. You must of felt sick 3 weeks ago. I'm hell worried about our chances against you guys.

We normally have a derby hangover, though things seem to have changed this year. Our intensity levels are good. We seem to get beaten by the flood, any chance you'll opt for this gameplan. Or is it against the way you play? I really enjoyed our shootout last year at the G. Of course i remember it more favourably because we won by 12 points.

I wouldn't worry too much about the ruck. Longmuir should return and Polak is a bit of a revelation in the ruck. Young Michael Johnson is also fairly capable of playing in the ruck.

It'll be good to see 2 capable forward lines go head to head. I think the delivery will determine the result.

I'm tipping a draw

Im pretty confident we will hit some form this week, after grafting out 3 close but good wins.

Having said that, Freo play well at the 'G against us so we cant count them out.

Big possibility.
Our main aim this year is to flood in an effort to stop a surge of opposition goals, which is why we've been able to claw our way back and win close games.
No doubt the club studied your loss to the Hawks, not saying we'll play such pointless footy but we have flooded a lot more this year than ever before.

I'd expect us to have a loose man in defence for the whole match, and we'll most likely push numbers back leaving an open forward line of Neitz and Robbo.

I enjoy playing Freo simply because I can see Wizzy play live once for the year! :thumbsu:

Should be a good game, especially with both teams playing good footy at the moment. Playing at the G should give us the edge, although you guys have rolled us there in recent years.

Look for Mullet Carroll to take Pav.

Freo have made a habit of beating us at the MCG - my gut feeling says they'll beat us again.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

Freo has a 37% winning record after a derby. After going from tassy back to perth and now back to the G while we've stayed at home 2 weeks in a row i think they're going to be spent. We've played some good running footy lately in the wide open spaces at the G i think we'll continue on our merry way.

I think Melbs has the slight advantage playing at the G, not taking anything away from Freo who have an impressive record vs the Dees at the G.

If we can stop Pav, McPharlin & Farmer from mauling us like last year we should be able to win. Its going to be a good battle of the midfields, and a good game, i am looking foward to it.

Tip: Melb by 7pts on a cold windy day!

Jeff Farmer needs to be 'accidently' cleaned up after last year's effort. That man has some serious talent. Although I love watching him play, I'd prefer to see him shut down and us win.

Expect to see us flood big time, Freo love to run and they beat us last year in a free flowing game. Our clerance work Is heaps better this year so I hope its a slow scrappy game. I dont think they will beat us if it is.

Melbourne on a roll.

Freo flat after big derby build up.

Freo having to travel twice in 3 weeks.

Home game at the 'G.

Jeff playing better, Greene had a good one, young new kids showing plenty.

Which all points to a Demon loss!

Its funny how silly that seems but how true it is. For some reason at the MFC supporters and players alike get ahead of themselves and think the job is done.

I agree Spirt this is a danger game, Freo will not be easy and a win (even by 1 or 2 points, hehe :) ) will be worth 8 preimership points to each club and set them up for a good season.

Focus Demons and Unleash Hell :thumbsu:

We will smash them, been right about every demon game this year.

R1- Had a really bad feeling.
R2- felt good at the start but then i made a phone call at half time and then sum reason felt very unluck
R3- i thought we would get smashed
R4- Good record at the SCG game me a good feelings
R5- Felt good.
R6- bad feelings at the start of the week but with the new of Mclean playin i was feelin very cocky.
This week started off bad but now cant see us losing.

I think this is one of those games that most supporters will expect to win (as every year against Freo) and we will probably lose. Or maybe we've turned the corner....

Freo shouldn't be under-estimated, potential top 4, and form team of the comp.

This is a game we can't afford to drop, like the Hawks next week and other games we have at the MCG this year against lesser sides. I think we are on par with Freo, but since it is at the MCG and they have had to travel and with Sandilands out and Longmuir very doubtful White should dominate and we should win. We usually drop these games, so we really need to be switched on because these games always come back and bite us on the ars*.
