Go and look up the numbers. Didak has better stats than Ablette and has certainly won more matches for his club.

Actually this year Abblet averaged 7 more possessions and two more tackles than Didak. Plus, he's a year younger.

Although I would probably prefer Didak at St Kilda...I just cannot stand Ablett. (But I wouldn't want to trade anyone for either of them).

Ablett Jnr. is overrated. Sure he's a great young prospect but like whatshisname said the commentators all expect him to do the spectaculor and when he does do something good it's a "mercurial piece of play". This is not his fault of course. He is a good young player, if he didn't have the Abblet name he wouldn't be overrated. In the past few years Ablett has had much better players playing with him then Didak, so he does not have as many chances to win matches off his own boot. This is a ridiculous reason to claim that Didak is a better player, and shows you are really struggling to come up with a logical reason for why Didak was better (even your comments about stats were ill-informed, and show how biased you are).

What proof do I have that he is probably better???? The opinion of the neutral supporters on this board.

And I will tell you another thing, it is much more likely that one day Ablett will win a grand final off his own boot then Didak. I could not think of anyone in the Geelong team I would want more to have a shot after the siren in a Grand Final (that says a bit about the kicking of our other forwards as well actually).

goal 2 tucked up on the boundary, "wrong" side for a left footer, ie most would try a banana.....not didak tho!! straight in with a drop punt that splits the middle in one of the best shots at goal ur likely to see, with the actually difficulty of the shot & all the pressure he was under

geelong supporters should realise how good didak is, as he tore ur team apart when he wasn't even fit this year!!

but id actually take gazza, didak has been an enormous source of frustration for myself, fav player but he just doesn't do enough consistently for the talent he has!!

Didak is a better kick, but doesn't have the awareness, vision, explosiveness and in-and-under ability that Ablett has. Ablett is a lot harder at the ball as well. Ablett can finish well but Didak is a fair way ahead of him in kicking.
I'd take Ablett. Has a lot more upside than Didak IMO.

So maybe the more pernient question would be, "Is Didak a one game wonder?"

Didak may have won a game off his own boot, and I use the term "may have" as loose as I can, but Ablett is a much more consistent performer who plays in the midfield and doesn't get cheap kicks skirting packs. Didak is a dirty player who thinks he is muscles, when, in actual fact, hitting players when they are not looking is cheap, easy and an act of a want to be footballer.
