Do we need a rant thread after each loss?

We can lead the horses to water but we can't force them to drink.

We have 2 threads regarding the match on Saturday and yes people are venting their displeasure at the result and performance. I want to keep threads in tact as much as possible and one persons post which most see as a rant could be seen by the person who made the post as a rational post. So getting the balance right is important. Also not sure if it would sit easy with me to have a rant thread from a Mod point of view at this time due to need to have it watched, which is hard at the moment with only 2 Mods (with CAS79 away ATM).

But once we have 3 active full time Mods again I wouldn't be against it trailing it out.

Why not a season vent thread? All the venting in 1 place and not cluttering the match day thread. That way people can display their displeasure in a less constructive manner eg:

Why the %**$##$ #&&$ @&$% do our mids keep $%%$$% bombing it.

Not explaination just pure frustration?

There is a Vent Thread on the Bob Skilton Board, but for an entire different purpose.

Myself and RW will discuss this in private and come up with some because a) yes we don't what match threads being cluttered up and b) if we do introduce something we don't want to offend posters in the process if they feel they aren't ranting or venting

It would be nice if we could keep the overreactions in a separate thread but I can't see it working. People are still venting in the Collingwood preview thread.

Inevitable with our next game not being for another two weeks. I'm afraid we'll just have to put up with it. As always the best option is to just not read it, or if you do, try to steer the discussion towards the Collingwood game.

Hmmm, think i'll just avoid posting for 2 weeks, and not read any threads on our board. It's not really possible to avoid reading it, because it's every second post, in every thread, so you don't know where/what to avoid until you've already read it. ;)
