Would take it in a heartbeat. A proven 80-100 goal/year full forward for an average player and an unproven mystery number. Given who Port have had in their ranks over the years Fev is an absolute gentleman. Its only on the paddock where it counts.

Maybe if he was 5 years younger.

What does age have to do with it? Age does not make him any worst or any better. geez think before you write

And also, fevola would be a huge asset as brett ebert may get traded. So keep that in mind.

Fevola is an absolute dead set gun that we could build our team around. I'm a massive fan.

However, I don't think we'll be in contention again for a few years, by which time Fev will be over the hill.

Fev should stay at Carlton.

Added to that, why on earth do you want Boak? You have a great young midfield. Surely a player like Carlile would be more to your needs.

In any case, i'd love to have Fev, but I don't think the trade is a good fit.

I don't believe how many people wouldn't want a champion full forward in their side. I hope he stays because we won't get a deal worth it

stay on topic. mate, its about fevola.
and this is the Port board... dont like it? piss off back to your own board...

and for the record.. heard on the news that both Port and the Crows have made it clear that they are not at all interested in trading for Fevola.... and i cant blame them

Champion, you say! Champion at/of what? How many flags has Carlton won thanks to Fevola- your CHAMPION full forward?

We haven't had a team since his been there, the club has been rebuilding since only the 2006 season. The club was as bad as Fitzroy that bad before 2006.

His got 5 years max left in him and would be a star with any team that has a list of good players.

We should trade Burger get some picks then give to Carlton and get Fev in a heartbeat

fev, and lovett

perhaps we can go after barry hall and ben cousins too

that might be the only way we can guarantee to see some port players wearing prison bars ;-)

He will be 29 yrs 4 months when the 2010 season starts.

He has got 1-2 years of top-shelf football left, maximum.

I doubt we'll be challenging for a premiership next year, and at a time where our club lacks team morale, bringing fev in for such a huge cost would be ludicrous.

Fevola is an absolute superstar full forward, there is no doubt.

5 years left though? Surely you are extracting the urine.

He will be 29 once the 2010 season begins, so he'll have the 2010 (and a good chance for the 2011) season left in terms of top-shelf football.

Once he turns 31, his glory days will be buried, as has been the case with pretty much every other key forward in modern footy.

Why on earth would we want him for 2010-2011 if it really doesn't look like we'll be challenging for a flag next year, and we will have to give up a shitload in order to get him (not to mention all the other crap he will bring to the club)?

Maybe we should just put together a team of church going, kitten loving, kumbaya singing, charity working, dolphin saving teetotallers.

Jeez football is becoming dull. What happened to the Port Adelaide that used to embrace people with a bit of character (loose cannons) and make them our own? The AFL is so sanitized that the public is believing all the spin.

I'm not saying that Fev is the answer, but to point blank rule him out because he's had issues, and then assume he'll ruin our playing group (while we're already doing a good job of that) is weird.

Cornes said on AA that he spoke with Chad today and Chad would love to see him at Port. Maybe a three way deal with Hawthorn and Carlton can be worked out for Burgoyne to the Hawks and Fev to the Power.

Might be a tad difficult to jag that one. Cant see what the Hawks and or Port can cough up to clinch the deal - its going to be difficult enough for Port and Hawthorn to agree on terms for jnr Bgr alone. I like the idea of a straight swap, with Carlton paying a portion of Fev's contract. Both clubs would get 3 years good service from each

I actually love Fev and back him but no thx. We're rebuilding, we have an ace FF lined up (and have a FB for the next decade), it's simply not the time.. He would get nothing out of coming to Port and we can say likewise
