So let's sum this thread up.

We've got a hysterical Rockingham housewife, who is an admitted Freagle and turncoat supporter, who got on the chardy and made a complete idiot of herself in here and on the radio.

A wet behind the ears nurse who was so incensed that she joined a pathetic protest and made a massive tool of herself.

A Uni student from Brisbane, whose intentions maybe pure, but whose emotions get in the way of his logic.

And Reg. Well what can you really say about Reg, apart from the fact that he is well on his way to following his 4th AFL club since our inception. Just piss off back to Dockerland and enjoy the circle jerk.

Seriously. People who have little life experience, have never managed a company or business, have an axe to grind or simply cannot overcome their emotion and petulance when faced with hard, cold logic and business sense, should really refrain from posting about this.

There is not one single thing wrong with what the club or Lyon did in the circumstances that they found themselves in.

Emotion and hand-wringing sentiment have NO place in major business decisions.

Dry your bitter tears. Harden the F*** up or just piss off and support another sport. Because if you think this was bad, then just wait until Free Agency comes in.

Made a tool of myself? I don't think so sunshine. I think the only people to actually say that are the pissheads on here. BTW, who are you? Don't even know how you are...so you can shove your opinion up your arse.

Oh but you do Shibzy.;)

And if you think that holding up a sign scratched in crayon and mingling with a few grannies and Know nothing young girls does your, or the clubs, DIGNITY any good at all, then please carry on.

I, and many, many others, cringed when we saw that pathetic little charade of a protest.

You have been asked a million times here, and have ducked it every time; How, exactly, do you think that the club should have handled this scenario DIFFERENTLY given the circumstances??

I await, with baited breath, your in depth business plan.

Long time poster or not, what she did was bloody stupid and only worthy of Dockerland numpties.

And don't forget I know Shibz and like her a lot.

It showed a clear naivety on the issue at hand and she clearly didn't think it through.

Tell me, how was it "bloody stupid"? All I did was go down there and say my piece...that I disagreed with how Harvey was treated. Are you saying going down there and offering to give Rosich gobbies for sacking Harvey would have been a better option? At least I had the guts to state my opinion rather then sitting there like a keyboard warrior! The whole ending up on tv/6pr/ending up talking to Rosich was not my intention...in fact, was shocked it even happened.

And you do not know me. I have never seen you post on here before today.

you really have your facts straight NOT! I am not a housewife, I work full time, I am not a turncoat, nor do I support the Eagles in any way, shape or form, that ended when Fremantle Football Club came along. My name is not Sharon, and I have never spoken on talk back radio in my life.

I told you - Harvey deserved to stay on. Rosich even said if we had made the finals this season Harvey would still be coach.

More then anything...I'm shocked by the nastiness of some of the posters on here. Especially bringing gender, employment, suburb and intellect into it. Disgraceful.

Nice guitar

We had a goat at our house.

He wasn't nearly that stable or co-ordinated. Everytime he tried to get on something high, he would stack it.

Absolute dumbest animal I've ever met.

Great at recycling plastic bags though. :thumbsu:

You positively sure that you were on 96fm yesterday morning. Caller was Sharon from Rockingham. The term, your term, this thread title, "Dog Act" was used many times by this caller....

Answer the question Shibz.

And if read a bit harder you will know who I am.;)

But you are a hysterical woman who jumped ship, (you admitted before that you supported the Eagles), and made herself look very silly in this thread.

As has been said before; maybe the WAFL or Dockerland is a better option for you?

Or maybe volleyball.

I told you - Harvey deserved to stay on. Rosich even said if we had made the finals this season Harvey would still be coach.

Again you duck the question.

One last time.

Given the scenario that was before the CEO and Chairman: How should have they done it differently?

I told you - Harvey deserved to stay on.

As has been said, all this rubbish is just a cover for supporting Harvs over the club.

It doesn't carry water.

Especially considering Harvey's flaws. Nor the likelihood he would be here past next year in any case.

It may seem like an easy answer, but it doesn't actually address the question. It's just a cover.

Rephrase the question, clearly my oestrogen/ass wiping levels are preventing me from understanding it.

And no, still no idea.

Your name is now Sharon.

That's how football clubs roll.

And no, still no idea.

Pretty much.

It's not that you have a problem with the way he was sacked, or the way the deal with Lyon was done.

Your only complaint is that Harvey is not still there.

I wish you would just say that. All this fluff on top as a smoke screen for that is not warranted. Nor are the attacks on the club as a result.

And no, still no idea.

That about sums it up.

You have NFI how to answer the question.

And as Chops says, this all about your bleating and crocodile tears for Harvey and not about the best interests of the club going forward.

I have some engineer friends who specialise in bridge building. I'l put you in touch with them.

Love
bushie.

Hey, stop being so dramatic!

This deal is actually good for all parties, good for St Kilda, good for Ross Lyon, good for Freo.

Ok maybe not so good for Harvey but someone has to lose.

The "no idea" was in reference to knowing who "Proud Bogan" is.

I'm over this shit. I should not be allowed to be berated like this. I've been posting on this board for almost 7 years and have never felt so down trodden and "crapped on" in those 7 years. I've pretty much grown up with people on here...yet they seem to be the people being the most nasty and unfair.

As I've said numerous times (yet you STILL will not listen), I do not care he was sacked, it was how. The fact they had SIGNED Lyon 2 hours after sacking Harvey just proves they were going to sack him way before now...why didn't they do it sooner?

I'm entitled to my opinion, I am entitled to state it. YOU are not entitled to berate me for doing so.

Stop being a bloody drama queen shibz.

You went public. You got your mug on the telly and radio. So you have opened yourself to a certain amount of ridicule.

Go back and have a read of Lachys post about how this thing played out and have another go. Because it seems very clear to a lot of us that you have NFI about how this thing played out in the real world.

It's all about logic and reason shibz.

But it is about being sacked, not about how. Because you can't back up that opinion with any logical response.

Becoming very religiousesque.

The only other way it could have been managed would have been to have a signed MoU from Lyon, then tell Harves his time was up, and after a few weeks or so, have Ross officially give notice at the Saints, sign a contract and be announced as the new coach.

And hopefully all would be well until someone lines up the dates.

Bit like how GC/GWS do it. But that method ends up causing prolonged media speculation and in reality is more disruptive to the club than a sudden single change since you have a dead-man walking scenario and a wasted few weeks.

Yeah, if you did go down to the club and put your money where your mouth is, you definitely deserve to be shown some respect I think.

Drama queen?! You want to label ME a drama queen?! After all your little tanties you've chucked over the years?!

It WAS NOT my intention to end up on tv/radio, much like I didn't expect Rosich for invite me up for a chat.

And why should I be ridiculed? Because I have an opinion? You have NFI how I am feeling right now.

The best way to handle sackings is often not the most compassionate way, in fact in this case it can be brutal. I feel sympathy for Harvey is hard to handle a sudden sacking and I understand that many people in all jobs suffer this fate too (I was suddenly sacked from my job last week. Walked into the office with no idea of it coming then pulled into a room and got told it's my last day). I also understand that it would be difficult to handle it any other way.

You're being ridiculed, (if that is how you see it), because you felt the need to go public, (and as if the media wouldn't be all over that given the circumstances:rolleyes:), and still reject any offer to explain your stance, except to say that Harvey should still be in place.

The fact is he isn't and a you are pissed about the way it was handled. But you won't offer a reasonable explanation about how it could have been handled differently.

I've been thinking about this a bit more and I think the way it's panned out is like this:
We've got Mark Harvey as coach. We've done the review and we think he's going ok. Not great but ok. We think he's got issues around game plan, maybe around communication, pre-season is a bit iffy.
As a board (thinking like a board member or CEO) we need to have a look and see who can address these areas and an appreciably better job than Mark. Not just an off chance they'll be better but they must be A LOT better.
That really narrows it down to 4: Malthouse, Clarkson, Lyon and possibly Eade.
We may have some concerns over Rodney, due to the late season implosions.

If we can't get any of these guys, then Mark is staying. he's a known quantity we'll do what we can to help him improve.
Clarkson re-signs, Malthouse is out, let's talk to Ross.

"Hey Ross what's happening, man?"

"Funny you should mention it Steve(s) but I'm ready to get away from this mob of idiots, they've taken 6 bloody months"

*cue champagne corks*

I reckon this is basically it and why Harvey got the chop the way he did. If they couldn't get one of the top 3, he was safe.
The charter they're coming out with is that is our duty to chase premierships for our members. With only 1 year left on his contract they could do it and give us the best chance at it.

This whole shut about you should've sacked him first is just that: shit.

Agree 100%.
