Im all for filling the G with big crowds for blockbuster games, but what was with Carlton members being let into our Home Game! Ive heard it had something to do with Carlton playing at the Gold Coast???? Well tough tittys thats why you sell a home game! You dont get one in return! Last night felt like we were playing at Subiaco (for the first quarter anyway until we took over and the Bombers fans came alive).

Anyone else feel we were quite outnumbered last night?

P.S. Nothin better than sitting next to 10 carlton supporters and watch them leave one by one at 3 qtr time!

It doesn't matter, we may have been outnumbered, but a lot of seats were allocated to Carlton members, also, wouldn't it be more satisfying to 'farewell' 50k people out of the ground than to 'farewell' 40k?

Probably outnumbered in my area but there were still vast sections of the ground that were mostly Essendon, I didn't think it was that bad.

But yes, watching the seats empty around me was good fun! Even one guy who was disappointed at all the other fans leaving, left at the 30 minute mark of the last quarter with "I can't take any more of this bullshit"...I gave him a good old spray

I have to say, kudos to the handful of Carlton supporters who stayed to support their team to the bitter end. Out of maybe five hundred people in my section, there were probably two hundred Blues supporters at the start of the game. I spotted one at the end.

All depends on which area of the ground you were sitting. From the mcc members I thought essendon outnumbered carlton by a large amount. But if you were sitting in the ponsford stand it would have been the other way around.

Great turnout by dons fans.

Although I hate carlton supporters, I didnt mind sharing the home game access for members. Even supporter numbers and a massive massive crowd. Great footy

Bar the ponford stand there is no way there was more blues fans. You could see how many essendon fans were their after stantons goal on the run in the 3rd. The southern and Olympic stands were going nuts. Even the bottom deck of the mcc were all standing up after lovetts soccer goal in the last quarter.

Make no mistake carltons fans are generally more vocal than us and others clubs but they didn't have the same numbers.
