I heard Valve were releasing a trailer or something during the internationals.

Left 4 Dead 3 maybe?

They're showing a documentary called "Free to Play" about Dota 2/esports in general. Talk of trailers has been entirely fan produced, although the Dota 2 release trailer has been leaked.

I'm starting to play this very slowly by playing the tutorial and bots. Pretty fun but looks amazingly deep and difficult. I will continue to play bots until I'm ok at some character and just watch matches.

The whole being able to spectate is awesome. They've really put a whole lot into the presentation of that side of the game.

Liquid almost brought me to tears getting 2-0'd and missing out on WB.

Its a ****ing long road for them now... :(

If Liquid fail I will bandwagon to my boy Sylar's team next ^^

Was on the Mouz train before the tournament. Can't believe how crappy they've been playing. Going with 2nd choice Fnatic now. LET'S GO HONTRASH

I downloaded this last week. Any good guides out there?
Have you ever played these sorts of games before? If not, be prepared for a world of pain early.
You're not gonna get many kills early, don't worry too much, the main thing is just don't feed, or you'll cost your team matches and cop abuse from anywhere.

Rule 1 for Noobs: Don't feed.

Nope.

What is feeding?

Just try and play safe without overreaching for a kill or running under a tower. If you are less effective offensively it's better than giving up deaths and letting the other team get gold and experience from "feeding" off you.

The Purge guide is pretty good, going up in bot difficulty levels is also good but there's always going to be a learning curve to it. Ignore dicks that troll you, you can't really get attacked too much if you try to play safe. The popular item guides in the top left corner are helpful as well. I'd suggest after doing the training just practicing for a few games at increasing difficulty in bots with heroes that you feel comfortable with.

Dendi is the epitome of the halo effect, in game 3 of Na'vi Tongfu he hooks a stationary gyro between creeps for his first kill after walking past wards, commentary proceed to blow their loads and phaggots in the background can be heard cheering (wtf) despite shit like this happening even in low skill games. More impressed with Puppey's timing and coordination to setup the fountain hooks for sure.

Some of those fountain hooks were just ridiculous.
Though I felt it hurt them that several times Dendi was benched just before team fights because he wasn't in position when Puppey sent him back to base.

****ing kyxy denying aegis cost orange their push and lost them the series. Such a shame. Poor guy had been playing out of his mind all tournament.

That game 5 was beautiful.

Honestly thought Alliance were out of it when they aggressively dived in for Xboct. The trade off of 1 for two was brilliant. Can't recall how many died in the 2nd attempt when they went after him again but I remember something similar happening (might have been a 1 for 1 in that gang) but they did well to shut Alche out. The domination of Dendi on the other hand, wow. Unlucky that he got stunned in the coil, saw a screenshot that he had 0.9 second left before he got caught in the coil. Just a emotional roller coaster in that last game

Edit:

For those who may want to watch it later. Definitely check it out if you have time.

Sort of felt the way I felt when PA came back a couple of weeks ago against you guys.
All Na'vi had to do was land the killing blow but they overextended while leaving their base free for AdmiralBulldog to ransack.
Truth be told I'm still not sure how they ended up losing it from the position they were in.

Yeah it was a tremendous effort by S4 to bounce back like that after some of his sloppy positioning that got him & his teammates killed a few times. Dendi kept him at bay for most of early to mid game. Still think Na'Vi were unlucky to lose it, so many "what ifs" moments.
