I can understand how this is addicting. Those game turning fights are great when you come out on top even if its against bots :p.

Getting chased down by Viper, used mana leak, viper got stunned then destroyed to pieces by a team mate. Felt so good.

Viper is horrid when he snowballs!! I've been learning to carry, not an easy task with bots mind... The update wasn't that big after all.

Last major update, I couldn't believe they made SB stronger, he was enough of a pain as it was.

just read the changes in the next update and they will make some big differences. My favourite hero just got a little stronger :)

The pudge blink will be interesting, but I think what makes pudge super strong this patch (and all roaming gankers) is the smoke update. You don't get picked up by sentries anymore.

Yeah he was already bad enough

Vengeful gets a similar mod, could change how effective her ult is.

I'm not a massive fan of the new update tbh. Supports are basically required to roam now since stacking/pulling is almost impossible. Junglers have it bad now cause of the nerve to xp for jungle creeps as well as the shared xp for neutral creeps. Looking forward to playing BS though haha. Unlimited ms? Yes please....

It's such a help having someone why is willing to instruct you. Watch YouTube video as well, there are heaps of little tricks to pick up.

Holy shit I have been getting matched with noobs. Seriously first time noob shit, pulling a single easy camp to **** up lane control at the start of a game, no wards, no ganks or rotations... Disgusting.

If you play this game, you need to ****ing talk. I can't tell how many of my losses have been a result of no communication... literally not a single word typed. Like playing with a bunch of autistics thinking it's a single player game.

Haven't had a chance to play a game yet, but have watched a few pro games and the meta has taken a huge shift back to the pushing strats of 2011. I like it.

Don't be too harsh on the newer players. Don't say they're autistic, or they're stupid and don't know what they're doing. Be supportive help them learn the game, don't rage help them learn how to push, gank, defend and such. We were all like that once. I still am and can not stand the campaigners that continue to bash new players when they're just trying to learn.

What are peoples thoughts on the new patch? Both of the Hero's I play got nerfed :( not that I'm that good at this game anyway but still...

I got caught unaware of BS gaining damage from Thirst, and the bastard took advantage of that :( Also, I have found myself struggling to stack neut camps as well. Haven't noticed much differences in the way the opposition plays other than noticing that people are not picking Naix, AM or Alche as much as they did a month or two back

I don't mind if people who are new to the game struggle to do these sort of stuff, as I'd try my best to be tolerable and encourage them to practice those agendas, or guide them through it but the more experienced players who underestimate the value of map control (My friends are guilty of this) are much more frustrating. Although I do agree that players (New or experienced) should speak up, having no communication in the team is a massive pain, the quicker we know of your str/weaknesses, the easier it'd be to dictate/set up plays to benefit the team

Jungling got a nerf as well, less gold from them and less xp as well... I got caught off guard with buyback. Changes for that now mean you probably don't buyback unless the situation is dire...

Exactly my experience.

Just got my 2nd win up the other day. When with people that are good and can direct me to just stay safe I do ok. When with people that assume you should be pro right at the start you get owned and everybody quits.

There's a very steep learning curve in this game. You gotta know what button to press and what upgrades to get. Just learning all the items is difficult and I've only played a handful of heroes.

I like such as Lich or Sniper that can do damage easily. I tried out Luna but lost that game, she's a bit more difficult.

All everybody seems to play is Zeus or Lifestealer. I'm starting to hate them already :p

Luna is a tank mid to late game if you preserve yourself early, her ult is brilliant because you can do mass damage and continue fighting unlike Crystal Maiden and Witch Doctor. Get Aganims Scepter and that ult just seems to go on forever.

I lost 4 games in a row and then won my last 2.

Just as I was staring down my 5th loss in a row about ready to be all  at Dota the game swung in our favour.

It was my first time playing Drow Ranger. For some reason I just started to get all uber hacked and killing opposition like swatting flies. Now I know why I've been pwned by it so many times.

So do you play THRILLHO ??

3 in a row yay.

I randomed Omniknight which I think was a blessing going up against Riki, Jugganaut and Sniper. Just ran around healing everything and they couldn't get kills until it was too late :D

I was so worried seeing those 3 hero killers come up.

Ugh been playing against the bots the last couple of weeks while at my Mrs parent's holiday house that has crappy net.. On Hard and Unfair, they the world's biggest cheats!

I win most times but it's usually through my efforts alone, as your allies are mostly useless. This game is the worst cheater I think that I have ever encountered (Maybe Warcraft 3 insane) You can spend half an hour to an hour trying to beat 1 vs 5 as your allies feed their team with pathetic efforts and then they slowly push your base until you're dead.

Map hacks, more gold, more exp, random critical hits, large amount of random health and mana regens. They roam in a pack of 5 while half your team is running the opposite side of the map so you have to do a 1 or 2 v 5.Illusions of Mantis Style are useless (as well as Choas ultimate) as they see strait through them!

Oh and the worst part is, when the A.I gets one or two levels in front of your team, you can't do any damage! (Which happens on unfair with the mid lane enemy bot is level 8 and you're level 6 and no ganks either side)
You barely scratch them! But when you are multiple levels higher, you take full damage, then get multiple criticles so you die in seconds!! hahah what a joke...

Can't wait to get back home to play properly....Uber frustrating...

Lol, that sound just like regular pub games whenever I'm playing with mates. Other team will roam in 5, where as my team will linger in lanes for longer than they should, underestimate the value of having upper grounds/vision, & react too slow when you want them to initiate. Pretty funny to watch if you're a spectator but infuriating if you're the roamer.

Ember Spirit still frustrating me since dota 1. Is there any heroes who can go head-to-head against him yet, woopedazz?
