Yeah just discovered that, interesting that the name could be a legal issue. I thought Dota was a spin off from WOW, so there would be no proprietary issues.

Really like LC, not sure the best way to use her yet though.

The original Dota was Warcraft 3 then Valve employed one of the guys that started the mod or something, but all the names etc are owned by Blizzard.

Valve has just done their own spin off versions of the Blizzard Heroes.

I see, well they've made an amazing product. Has anyone here played Demigod? Dota 2 is what that game should have been, the produces must be kicking themselves, they were so close but just didn't nail it.

Started playing Outworld Devourer for the first time yesterday, geez he is strong! You can own the middle and then the damage he does later on is huge. Dies really fast though

His ability to take enemy out for a few seconds or save allies is huge if done correctly, paired with Sythe of Vyse, he can take 2 units out of battle for a long time then uses refresher orb on his ulti x 2 can team wipe them.

Hes a fun hero and can take the game apart very early if you're farmed nicely. One of the few mid heroes I don't mind playing. Pair him with CM and you'll get a massacre in team battles if the ults are pulled off

He's an easy hero to learn how to control your lane with. He should stomp nearly every lane and also is a farming laner, even when mid, and not required to gank or have much map awareness. Good strong hero at all levels.

I got pwned by Outworld Devourer once and then I played him myself to figure out his secrets.

You can do the ultimate to an imprisoned hero.

It's just one of those take down style heroes that you need to hit with a silence before he can do it.

Certainly now in my top 3 heroes, so much fun. I just had a game where we were 2 and they where 12 and then we came back and won 62 to 42! I ended up with 27 kills and 6 deaths after going 1-3 so I was pretty wrapped with that.

**** i hate ranked match making.
Still in the TBA period, but i've had the worst luck.
From 6 games, i've had abandons on my team in 3 of them, one a 0-13 doom in 20 minutes. Another where i had two *******s playing carry and i had to take over... with rubick. Ended 15-5-20 but still lost.

I've read that win or loss doesn't matter in determining MMR so chances are you should still be good.

I love being muted... playing with a mass push build with pugna, lone druid and broodmother with a scrub drow who's farming neuts with 0 farm.

Broody really is a bit OP with someone who knows what they're doing. She can destroy mid lane and push right into base in 15 mins. I've seen it done by one guy in three consecutive games all finished in under 30 mins off her back. She has to be countered from the outset.

Even after the recent buffs, Brood is still regarded as a pretty shitty hero. Her winrate used to be like 5% lower than any other hero
Can be countered so easily with Legion and ES and will essentially screw up your whole team.

Haven't played her since Legion came out. But yes, if she starts badly she can certainly be a liability. I've seen a lot of play her terribly. seems like people give it a go, get smashed and throw in the towel.

I play very low level but I find that when Brood is dominating it's because her team's playing very well and not the other way around.

Plenty of Hero's will beat her 1v1 Rubick, Lion, Sand King, Specture, AM, Timbersaw would beat her 1v1...

Meepo is the perfect counter for her. Once you get your 2nd meepo + level 2 ****, you should be able to neglect her spiderlings, and by the time you have your 3rd Meepo, its easy to take her out with net, **** and geostrike. Couldn't have a better feeling after just smashing Brood at bot

Ah mate, I've just seen what she can do. You're right, anyone who can do AOE damage gives her trouble. If I play her, I make sure I get eye of skadi ASAP, gets rid of the squishyness.

It's good she got a much needed buff, she was rubbish tier before. I haven't played her post buff so maybe i'll give her a shot.

It's definitely a specialist hero, plays completely differently to others. There are so many to get your head around, one of the reasons the games got such re-playability.

Yeah I pick a new one every other week just to try them, so much fun. Getting your first gank and then first win with a new hero is great!

Today I randomed all my picks.. Got Entrantress, Huskar, Dazzle and Puck.Never have played any of them. Lost all but the puck game, but man it's fun being a new hero and trying to learn them.

Not gonna lie. I played an all random game, randomed Enchantress, died to a neutral within 2 mins and rage quit.

Doing the A-Z challenge to learn how to play better and to learn strengths/weaknesses of each hero as still sometimes I go up against someone and I'm like "got no real idea what this dude does". Up to Centaur Warrunner and surprisingly Alch took the longest. I was either paired up with a bad team mix or just a poor support when I was playing hard carry. Broodmother I think I did ok, only took 3 goes and performed good in all, surprising considering I had never played a hero with any real micro usage before that. Up to Centaur now and I've had 2 games with him that we should have won but our best player went afk 20 mins in in both. I hate jungling and microing, I think I'll be stuck on Chen forever.

Enchant can be a beast latter though, but yeah it's hard to control everything, that's why I've yet to try LD as well as much as I want too..No Chen for me either

Last couple of new Randoms for me are Clinkz, Naga and Invoker. Though on Invoker I didn't really get to play as I got DC for some reason. But geez he looks so hard to play as.

Actually haven't played Alch yet, and he is considered one of the best Hero's atm in Captain's mode. So I should give him a shot next time.
