I've certainly noticed the right items can swing a game. You go from loser to triple kill once you spend that 6000 gold you've been saving up for a damage boosting weapon.

Haha yeah I was nervous as hell that I would die with the Rapier! almost didn't get it in case I died and the enemy carry would get it (Drow)

I picked it up the other day. Woweeee!!!! Went on a rampage before I dropped it and handed it over. That was a bit hairy but once we had it back the game was over.

I ended up with 2 Devine Rapiers last night playing as broodmother, none of which I bought. So cruel, just appearing in and out of the trees to slaughter. was so nervous of giving them away though and we had a shocking team so couldn't make the most of team fights. Lost them at the end, but by then the damage was done. Went from about 40-35 kills down to 45-50 up in 5 mins.

Just got beaten up a couple times before I randomed troll warlord, had no idea what I was doing died a bunch then suddenly things clicked and I started speeding up my attacks and pwning. I think the opposition had some noobs holding them back honestly but always nice to get a win.
The game before I got destroyed by Pudge. He can kill you quickly if he pulls you in and has way too much health.

That's why you get your team-mates to roam and kill him before he kills you. Flesh Heap makes him much harder to kill.

Following up on some of the comments on the previous page, dota 2 is really a game where you need a minimum of 3 people in your party. I don't even bother solo queuing anymore. Communication and teamwork is what wins games, and that's why a 5 team is ideal. Not to mention it filters out potential non-English speaking people (which seems to be a lot, even on AU servers), as well as people who pick heroes that do not fit in the team structure at all.

Yeah I found myself a steam friend today and we got a party going. He played the Riki well and I was just trying to run some support. We won a couple then he invited one of his mates that played as Pudge and that was game over too easy

Haha I love Drow. I just had another game, got 3 rapiers, mom, phase boots and Aegis of immortal, doing a little over 1k per hit! hahaha
In all honesty though, my normal build is just as successful and it's cheaper and I survive better. This build leaves you really low on stats but damn I melted Roshan in like 3-4 hits and same with towers! hahaha

I have a new love and it's name is Earthshaker. So much influence on team fights and a serious nuker. Get him right and your team is well on the way to victory.
My precious record with rubick is slowly being ruined, I can't even grab a win despite having mega creeps . Most memorable win came from a auto win cause everyone dced except for me, was taking rat doto to another level for a laugh but this is evidence of karma returning the favour;

Yeah there was a game with I think DK vs Alliance or maybe Navi with a very good Earthshaker at MGL. That Fissure could block half the enemy team out from battle or he used it to save an ally getting chased. Great support.
Since my second fav Skeleton King was removed, I decided to pick up Chaos as a sub, love that Manta and Phantasm combo!

Yeah he's back now though, if you updated it last night. He's re-branded under the Wraith King, so Blizzard don't sue Valve. They also added the Legion Commander.
