I haven't watched any U/18 games during the season, but on yesterdays Grang Final, I liked what I saw of the 2 Smiths, Matt Bate, Hocking, Little and Knights. I'm sure there were others but those guys all looked the goods to me.

If we keep our no7 we'll be using it on Ben Eckermann or Angus Monfries, very skillfull on ballers, only problem is they're both on the small side. Eckermann has more pace than Monfries, but Monfries can play as a small forward. Will be happy if we get one or the other.

You'd have to lean towards Eckermann i think.

DiMascio from eastern is a speed machine, similar size to monfries and eckermann though. He's probably not as good as the other 2.

a bloke who goes by the nickname of Ronda is a strong prospect...........great skills on both sides and is compared to Chris Tarrant

I went to high school with Rowan Nayna, he wasn't THE best footy player at the time, but he looks like he may be the only guy from our year level to get drafted. We're not a bad track record in the AFL, we've produced a lot of Western Australian stars: Heath Black, Scott Thornton and Ashley Hansen.

In fact, both Scott and Ash were in the same grade with my brother.

If i had one preference it would be to not draft ben sharp. he is arrogant as can be and unless put into line by the coach would get off on the wrong foot with a lot of people. his attitude is acceptd in the under 18's as there are a lot of similar attitudes from people of similar ages but if he went to collingwood then people like bucks, pebbles, burnsy etc would just think he was a knob.

I didn't go to school with any of these draftees, but checking with other dialogue sites we seem to be in line for:

pick 10: either Meyer (fast ballcarrier); Monfries (if still there by pick 10 and a question of fast pace?); Eckerman (another small but fast croweating onballer)

pick 23: open, but Lewis (toughnut rover) and Polo (outside onballer) been suggested

pick 55: May? goalkicking onballer

pick 71 or PSD 4: a lottery: Knights may not last till pick 71; in the PSD between McGrath, Bizzell, Notting, Zantuck or whomever is left, it seems any hardened body may do to support our young list

In the rookies, Balme seems to have floated Willie's Lawry at least to keep us interested.

Any other names we'd like them to be mindful of along the way?
