Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Perhaps we would have taken McCarthy as the project tall and gone for a more developed tall with the 2nd. Regardless of how we got them I am pretty happy with that combination, and a very clear emphasis on marking and running.
With Clarke unable to establish his forward credentials there is a door open. Hannath may be feeling some competition. There is certainly a lot of tall timber around, with more to come next year down back.
3 indigenous Pearce's. Lucky they all look different.
The Purple Ghurka's mother is indigenous to India.Don't think Clancee is.

Need another C Pearce to complete the band of Pearce's
GWS know that they will lose some players, they've stockpiled forward talent that they can trade in the future. This is surely the forward thinking they've done (no pun intended).
It's going to be damn hard to get both. My first thought when gws took McCarthy was that they plan on trading him in a few years and they know they can get something good for him from us. Watch us offer something a lot more than #17 for him in a few years.we're gonna be flush in the forward line in a couple of years with mccarthy and hogan coming home.

We'll see him in 2 years."We just think it's difficult to find talls. We see him as a possibility to play back. He's got an outstanding work rate and we saw him as the second best tall in this draft." Stephen Silvagni
We would prefer GWS to get him ahead of the cats, that's for sure!Epic lol, GWS have already earmarked McCarthy for a role down back:
We'll see him in 2 years.
I was WTFing back in the Sheridan, Crozier, Forster, Neale, Sutcliffe draft.. wondering about the players we took when other 'better' players were available.
Now look... 4 of the 5 are breaking into the senior team and the two last picks played in the grand final, with a 3rd as an emergency
In Bondy I trust
Spot on. The less we know about them, the more I think they might be good.I was WTFing back in the Sheridan, Crozier, Forster, Neale, Sutcliffe draft.. wondering about the players we took when other 'better' players were available.

Still some talent available for Rookie spots:
Hourigan? Battersby etc
Have to admit so was I. But Neale at pick 70 something has been a revelation, Sutcliffe went from being sub majority of his career to starting in the GF and Sheridan was an emergency. That draft ended up nicely, with all of us questioning WTF Bond was doing.. In Bond we trust.
Touche.Considering he's going to struggle to get a game I doubt his value will increase too much.
I don't think that plan really works though because when the talent actively wants to leave the club losing the talent doesn't have much leverage in making a fair trade happen.
