There was a reason Melbourne needed to progress from #6 to #3 .....obviously to beat Essendon to the punch ....has to be Parish ?

I presume that you are referring to "At the risk of copping abuse from those with different views, here are my thoughts on our current list and our greatest needs in the draft".

Whilst I was enjoying the odd Chianti or ten whilst completing a study tour of Italy and the Greek Islands in October, I occasionally checked out Bigfooty (without participating). What was very obvious to me in my tranquil state is that there are a couple of very angry ants on the Adelaide Bigfooty Board. It doesn't matter what the subject happens to be, these "contributors" are just waiting to hurl abuse at anyone that disagrees with their view of life. Ironically, IMHO these posters often have the least to contribute.

Is it worth abusing someone who thinks we need more inside midfielders? I think not (unless it's Vader and I feel obliged to annoy him on principal). There seems to be too many Tony Abbotts on this Board and not enough Malcolm Turnbulls (although I guess it's easier to be relaxed if you are a multi-millionaire .

Any chance that we call all enjoy our best draft in living memory?

Shouldn't really be something to worked up about it should it?

I've got no idea but Quayle, Twomey and Anderson have said Melbourne were never interested in Curnow at 3.

That's not necessarily a knock on Curnow though. Melbourne generally stuff up their high end picks!

Fortunately for us, I see there being a clear top 9 excluding Academy picks (not in a definite order): Weitering, Schache, Parish, Weideman, Francis, Oliver, Milera, Curnow, H.Mckay.

Unfortunately, it all gets a bit muddy and there are a lot of players that could go anywhere: Burton, Balic, Collins, Ah Chee, Tucker, Bonner, Hibberd, Mathieson, Cole, Rioli, B. Mckay and others. We might get at pick 13 someone who would have been available at 25 which is unusual.

My guess is either a Mckay/Ah Chee or a Milera/Collins combo, with Burton as the wildcard. Fingers crossed for the second one.

My guess is that it is Parish at 3 as well. I rate him there too.

Regardless of whatever feedback he might give, our club has changed quite a bit since he was last on our list in terms of personnel.

My guess is that it is Parish at 3 as well. I rate him there too.

IF Melbourne do take Parish .....IMO Milera is that quick mid fall back option .....there's no other player worthy

apparently his end of season form was superb, improved a lot.
probably should go between 16-24

I recall somewhere that Ed spoke really highly about his time in Adelaide and the club. That was a fair while ago so I have no idea when or where I read it....

I have seen a few people infer that there might be some "bad blood" between Ed Curnow and the AFC. Where are you guys getting this info from? Is it simply that we have delisted Ed from the rookie list after 12 months or is it more sinister than that?

Are people just making an assumption that we delisted him so he must hate us?

Broadcast is from 6pm. There is a pre-draft show 4.30-6.00 on Fox Footy.

Just saw an ad on afl website saying that fox footy coverage starts at 6:30 (I assume EST). So wouldn't start for another 15-30 after that. So perhaps 6:00'ish our time. Maybe?

Not so sure it's their player identification & selection that's at fault. I strongly suspect that it's a failure with their player development once they've got them into their system.
