Looking at the situation with our contracted players I can only see us taking 4 picks in the draft and 1 rookie. Thats putting Mosquito on the LTI list and bringing Johnson back on the primary.
Surely that means we only take 2 early selections (trade the other for future 1st or package 6/7etc for pick 2) plus Brand and Eyre, or alternatively 3 early selections and then have to prioritise on of the NGA kids (more than likely Brand) and hope the other slides to us as a rookie.

Perkins seems a no brainer for us. One of those players who could have really raised his stocks this year. Looks like he could be a gun.
He provides us with something we don’t have on our list. Taller mid/fwd with serious X factor. Seems to like the contest watching his footage from 2019. Like the fact Twomey has linked him with our picks, as he often has good intel and has risen him up his draft board to our area of the draft

Agreed. He looks a real player. Doubt he'll get to 6. Can just see Hawthorn getting him.
He should be available at our pick. Hawks should have 2 of Hollands, McDonald, Thilthorpe, Grainger-Barras and Phillips available at their pick. I think theyd pick a tall if there was 1 there and Hollands if he was there. GC right into Phillips i think.

I’d say he gets through to us but on the off chance that somebody reaches for him it means one of the 5 top tier players drop to us. It’s a win either way.

The big question is what direction we go with our next 2 picks.

Got a bad feeling one will be Bruhn

Probably. Good player but more of what we already have. I’d sooner go for one of Reid/Cox & Henry.. that’s assuming we don’t split one of them.

If we ended up walking away with a mid, a forward & a key position prospect on top of our academy players I think it’s a win.

Has a club ever taken an academy player at their pick without another team bidding on it. If it gets to our pick 44 (should come into about 40) will we just choose Brand/Eyre due to list spots.

We did last year with Johnson

2018 happened a bit towards the end of the draft with Crocker (F/S NM), B Silvagni (Car), Oscar Brownless (Gee), Bedford (Mel) and Bosenavulagi (Col)

We went Mozzie in the 30s

He was Hawthorne's.
For some reason I thought he was ours and theirs because he was originally from our zone before moving.

Changed my mind. Forget Baldwin. Didn't realise he missed two years with two ACLs. Pity, because he seems to take a syrong contested mark and has a defensive side. Kicks with both feet too.

I'd be stoked with McDonald and Perkins.
If not, Cox looks awesome; such control off the boot for a big guy, and on both sides. + Perkins + Collingwood's future first and Pick 14 for ...
Not sure about that third yet.

Whats his kicking like? I'm not expert from the real guys that watch these kids, my only observations are from 5 minutes of highlights.

But it looks a little Heppell like although he seems to get more distance?

I would think the obvious targets in the 14 to 16 range that fit our needs would be O'Driscoll, Caleb Poulter, Jack Carroll and Trew.

If you want an academy player you gotta go early, We tried it for Coleman as well but the Lions got that 20 minute extension to scramble.
Oh yeah definetly hence why I'm bidding on Jones at 6

Is there a BF phantom happening this year eDPS? I think I read it was planned for after trade period but that's gone and we're only three weeks away now.
It’s in the works, might be started next week
