As one of the two winners for the Pie 4 Life, I would like to say thank you for being not just a team but a virtual family which connects over our love of Qooty. Before you ask, no I am not leaving the team yet as I did just a new two-season contract to stay with the Dragons and hopefully can help in getting another premiership for Season 30.

The Hilly-Pie 4 Life cup headed back to Las Vegas after the Dragons fell 16 points short. A promising opening quarter
saw the Dragons a couple of goals ahead but ran out of legs and just couldn’t keep up with the Bears. Cold Sober
played well and Knifey Spoony and A Swallow saw a lot of the ball. A disappointing result and the Dragons needed to
bounce back the following week.

In a must win match for the Dragons the Demons were out to 41 point lead at the first break and the game was
effectively over with the final margin 84 points. Good players were hard to find and only Strigoi and rota69 stood out in
a miserable day for the Dragons. On the match posting front A Swallow stepped up with 118 posts.

After a hotly contested match thread the Dragons got back on the winning track and easily defeated the Warriors by 62
points. serial_thrilla was in everything and Hatchy1992 was in great goal kicking form with 6.1 while Pea Nut and
Knifey Spoony had great games.

The Dragons got off to slow start and were trailing by 41 points at the first break. A great fight back in the second and
third quarters saw the Dragons with a slender 7 point lead at the final break. In a tense last quarter the game was in
the balance until the final siren and the Roys were able to hold on. Strigoi A Swallow and fumbler were all magnificent
as the Dragons fell by just one kick.

Tonight we celebrate the Dragon who polled the most votes in the season 29 Mobbs Medal and with 13 votes it was the enigmatic Dragons rover fumbler .



Fumbler was able to poll votes in 6 matches:

• Round 6 – 2 votes v East Side Hawks
• Round 7 – 2 votes v Fighting Furies
• Round 9 – 3 votes v Gumbies FFC
• Round 10 – 1 vote v Swamprats
• Round 12 – 2 votes v Wonders
• Round 16 – 3 votes v Roys

Season 29 ended with a two goal loss to the Hawks which would see the Dragons tumble to 7th place and would ironically
face the Hawks again in the following week in the finals. Mooresome Strigoi serial_thrilla and Knifey Spoony were amongst
the Dragons best in what was a disappointing finish to the season.

The final standing for the Coaches MVP saw a clear winner with Knifey Spoony who had an outstanding season playing in the mid-field ruck and was able to poll votes in 9 matches highlighting a truly consistent season.

After a titanic battle the top three in the Ljp86 medal were only separated by a handful of votes. A truly fantastic season by Strigoi Knifey Spoony and fumbler and each would have been a deserving winner.



In season 29 the Ljp86 medal is awarded to our ruckmen Strigoi. Congrats on a magnificent season on the Qooty field and in the SFA threads and particularly in match threads where Strigoi averaged 80 posts per week. A very worthy winner of the Dragons highest award.

This season we saw a number of new players at the Dragons (Maylandsman, serial_thrilla and rota69) as well as a number of returning players (fumbler and A Swallow) and I hope it was an enjoyable and fun SFA experience and they will be at the club for many seasons to come.

I would like to thank our Leadership Group Hatchy1992 Knifey Spoony and Dr Mantis Taboggan for their enthusiasm , support and help throughout the course of season 29. Next season serial_thrilla will be joining Hatchy1992 Knifey Spoony and myself and we will be the Dragons season 30 Leadership Group.

Thank you to everyone for their contributions and interest in our match threads and team PM and I look forward to seeing you all back in season 30 as we look for that elusive next premiership.
