I watched most games this weekend and any contact subject to the pressure of a mosquito bite was penalised. De Boer put several behind the play contacts greater than mosquito bites on Martin to invite a reprisal. Finally got his wish without any prior attempts to stop his invitation via an Umpires Whistle.Hardwick was entitled to defend Dusty who has become a prime target with Riewoldt and Rance watching on.

Again. It wasn’t DeBoer he elbowed in the head behind play. If it was you could maybe, kind of, sort of, understand - if not excuse. But it wasn’t. The guy he whacked was Adam Kennedy who hadn’t been near him all day. He just decided to line up and whack a completely random Giants player who had done nothing to him to deserve it.
