The "E - ddie" chant going around the southern stand was AWSOME last night after the goal he kicked that put us in front - "and if you don't believe me ask the hairs on the back of my neck"

This was a truly memorable moment. I hope someone else here heard (and joined in on) it as well.

Eddie Betts did f-ck all last night. 8 disposals is no-where near good enough for the Rising Star nomination. I left last night thinking "He's ok, but there building him up like he's god."

So when I found out this morning he got 3 goals

I couldn't even hear the siren last night, not once. I was Punt RD end behind Carlton cheer squad and back a bit and couldn't here the siren.

Eddies an exciting prospect, but please, lets not get carried away just in case he slows off a bit.

What Eddie Betts did do was kick a very important goal at a crucial time in the game which put us in front ..... My post was actually nothing to do with Eddie being a "god" but more about the moment that he kicked that goal.

I doubt it was better than the Eddie chant going on in my living room.

The best quality about Eddie is that he fully seems to love playing. Because of this passion he is free to do the magic. Too many players play as if their survival in life depends upon their football and choke when under pressure. It is a fine line but players like Eddie who just love playing seem to kick the pressure goals and do the miraculous. For mine I dont care if he becomes a star or not so long as he keeps spreading his passion to the other players.

Self confessed eddie lover now! seen him against the kangas and he was the only one who looked dangerous in the forward line when both fev and whitnall couldnt get a kick, seen a special goal that nabbed him goal of the week, now kicking another 3 against the old enemy , thanx eddie, keep up that magic

saw him kick 8 against sandy dragons last year and was very impressed..surprised he only just made an AFL list ..lack of height nearly cost him an AFL career
