One was snotting an u18s kid off the ball a couple of years ago. The other was Manton taking out Marcy (who went harder at the ball) this year, whilst copping a flogging from Tulla.
Honestly if it came down to cheap stuff I'd back APW to more than handle themselves, ask Hadfield how it worked against Marby a few years ago..

Firstly... I play for Tullamarine. Manton didnt take out Marcy. He crashed into Hardman. And it was far from the dirtiest thing I have seen on a football ground. It was late and crude and he didnt need to cannon into a player who had just been very brave taking a mark with the flight. But it was split second and he chose wrong. He was also sent off for the entire game which I thought was very tough considering I see worse things most weeks. The 2 week lay off he got was fair.

The rest of the game was played in very good spirits. A good hard contest and we ended up touching TL up by 10 goals. But to call them 'faux tough guys' and 'snipers' and 'throwing cheap stuff' is just wrong. They are not by a long stretch.

This is a pointless discussion anyway. Taylors Lakes can try what they like this weekend. If they don't play better the APW they wont win. Good luck to both sides. They deserve to be playing off for a spot in a grand final after good years. If APW turn up it could get ugly. Both this week and next week.

"My" u18s finished on top of the ladder and won their first final this morning but thanks for your concern..

No worries, I was only going off what i was told by a couple of Tulla players. If that's the case I apoligise.
As for the comments re: faux tough guys it was in reference to the comments in this thread suggesting that Taylors may go down the path of throwing their weight around as opposed to playing good hard footy, which is the best equaliser of sides.

Marcus Kenny kicked his 100th goal for the year in what was an absolute one sided affair
Ricky McVeigh played a cracker as well as all AW players did. Contessa & Harris were constantly niggled by a select few but smart footballers don't get sucked in. Airport West basically put on a football clinic and came to play footy all day. Except for their goal accuracy.. 41 shots

Also went to the game today, APW just dominated all around the ground, 1st QTR could have been a lot worse if it wasnt for inaccurate kicking, TL just couldnt get it past the half way mark of the ground.

It will be good to see APW piss off to A Grade and so B grade can level out and really prove to be a close competition in both seniors and reserves.

Someone told me Kenny pretty much came off the street and rocked up at APW at the start of this season?

Let's face it, if APW win it will be a case of "so they should've spending 3 times as much as any other club in the competition", if they lose they will be the biggest chokers in B Grade History(yes even bigger than Marby & Pacco)............
If West Coburg wins everyone is happy, from the B Grade clubs happy to see them move up and full credit for beating an APW team full of stars......... A Grade clubs happy as here will be an odds on favourite to go straight back down the next year. No disrespect to WC, but fact is if you don't spend $150k + in A Grade you will be relegated...

Haha you don't sound bitter at all..
Of course there is, either way a flag is a flag and APW people will be thrilled. If anything it puts them in a better situation heading into next year (providing they get up) as they'll have a year of playing together under their belts, instead of having to rush out and recruit a side upon making it to A grade/Premier div. That said there have been plenty of big spending sides get done by less fancied sides on the big day. West Coburg is a very good side in it's own right and knows a thing or two about staying up in A Grade against bigger spending sides anyway.

You seem to be a little critical (or jelous) of a team that has been working hard on & off field for 6 years to lift its profile and attract quality players junior & senior to their club. Chokers you say is a term used for teams that fail time after time and AW has not played in a GF since 1999 (A Grade v D/Stars) and yes they lost, hardly a choking scenerio? AW were a strong A Grade club for more that 1/2 of its life so they are entitled to have a go at winning and promote its self as an up & comming club. If you dont want be eaten up then you need to constantly improve your club. AW have ticked all the off field boxes now they have the chance to tick some on field boxes on Sunday so good luck to all !!!!!! Will be a great game

Congrats to both West cob and Airp West on making the Big Dance. Well done to the committees and coaches of both clubs as a shit load of work goes into making a GF. I think this is going to be a great game, West Cob must restrict the supply to the dangerous Eagles fwds in Rogers, Kenny and Deluca. They do have the midfield to do this Rabee is still a gun, Hudson, Fitax and Marwan A/W are all A grade quality. The problem is that the Eagles also have a gun midfield lead by Ex AFL players Harris and Contessa. The Burgers also have quality fwds in Grainger and Smith although the Eagles will back themselves to hold these guys with Wiggins and Fulton in line for the big job. The battle in the ruck will be pivotal with Mccreery being very underated for the Eagles up against one of the best combos in the business in Hopkins and Tolliday. Whichever big men can supply their mids will go a long way to deciding this game. Although this game seems to be about the big key fwds both sides have some terrific smalls that must be stopped, the Eagles have the Mcveigh brothers who are both fantastic at ground level and dangerous at fwd 50 clearances. The Burgers have Morano who kicked 6 when the sides last met as well as Drummond who is a noted goalkicker. This game should be a cracker, i think player for player the Eagles have te edge but the Burgers are a great team that has been together fo a few years and i am tipping them to sneak over the line by 4 points.

Very disappointed to witness what went on today. Twice players were tripped from behind by foot while having the ball in hand and the kicking on the ground of an AW player. I hear there could be more to come from the latter incident from the player who lashed out.

Took the gloss off what was quite an amazing performance by AW.
