Agree, no way would APW want to go back to Premier, but siren sounds next week and I'll tell you, they will do whatever it takes to win..

Hey Survey my mail is telling me the opposite mate. APW in a sound position off field and want to go back up. Not sure they are good enough to beat Glenroy but wouldn't discount them either. Im hearing they in a better position financially than others but the problem with both Glenroy and APW is their juniors coming through 17 and 19s. Is there enough future talent?

Turbo - $$$'s never been a problem at APW so although they are in a "sound" position after minimal spend over the past 2 seasons, they are just not ready to go up to A Grade as they will get smashed like Crazyburn did this year.. Fact is 3 weeks ago they had booked in Mad Monday for 2 days after the last h&a game, they fell into the 4 , now they find themselves in with a chance to win a Flag which they will put every effort into doing, playing with freedom of just having a crack as this year has already been a massive tick and got the supporters juices flowing again.. Good on them , I like APW, good old fashioned drinkers!!!!!!! Glenroy take in all the pressure in and this game is not as 1 sided as some may think...

Hillside must be shattered going out in straight sets, great h&a season but means nothing if you can't stand up when it counts

I know for a fact that both of these clubs are not at all keen on going up to premier division. But one of them will be and thats that, i have no doubt that come Sunday it's a grand final and the players will be doing everything they can for the chance to win a premiership these opportunities dont come around often in a players career. It's a great week to be involved in for a club lets hope they just enjoy the moment and worry about the challenges ahead when that time comes if they are lucky enough to salute on Sunday. All the pressure on the roys funny things can happen on Grand final day bit if they play even at 90% cant see them losing. Roys to kick clear in the last after a tight game roys by 32

Not to sure about AW going up but do know for a fact, if they can win , that Glenroy will be more than happy to be promoted to Premier and compete against some of the best local football clubs in the state. The facts.

An interested onlooker at Coburg yesterday, I can't help but think that game was Hillside's to lose. Three goals up 7-8 minutes into the last quarter, Hillside panicked and simply couldn't handle APW's pressure.

It also must be said, Burns and his coaching staff of 8-10 sat on their hands in the last, whilst Maddern swung the changes. From all reports, Burns' language on the sidelines was appalling.

But credit to Maddern and the Eagles, they have defied all the odds to make it to the big dance - good luck to them!

Maddern has been a great coach of juniors and with the aid of his trusty offsider Shannon they have done a great job since taking over. Not sure APW will win but good luck to them. I forsee them having a crack at premier next year or the year after. By then some of the younger boys would have developed even more.

They will need to find another 100k among other things. It's great they are going to come up (if they win it) and have a crack just think they will struggle with premier. Will Terra stay on or will they go after a coach from a higher standard so to drag a few players along who can play in the top division?? Who is footy manager at the Roys currently??

Yes there is a massive gap between premier and div 1 however time and time again players leave when being promoted which only makes this division look weaker than it is.
Craigieburn lost half their side when promoted.
Glenroy lost 90% of their list last time they went to Premier.

Winter won't play Premier with Glenroy, otherwise he would have stayed at Strathmore mate. His done enough over the years and competed with the best. However if Glenroy win it he will have done his job for the Roys. Big power forwards in div1 or div2 are like gold and it was a good move to recruit him..

Oak Park Football Club is now in the process of appointing coaches for our under 19's and Senior Reserve grade teams. Michael Hooper remains our senior coach in 2018.
We have shown that we offer a pathway to coaching senior football, for anyone aspiring to do so these roles are a great opportunity.

Was unhappy with the behavior of the Hillside fans in the upper drinking area during the second half of the reserves GF. Bad language and obscene gestures and trying to bait people was very average. Those supporters embarrassed their club today.

Glenroy supporters took over their spots for the main game and were fantastic. Supported hard and loud for their team without degenerating into the dribble from the early game.

Agree Mel Jesse had it on a string today he was unbelievable and little Brown did a great job. Gee Ross Terra was under the pump for the entire game but they prevailed in a great game of local footy plenty of hard fair collisions and the game was played in great spirit. Well done Roys deservered winners good luck at the next level well done APW you did your club proud.
