The facts are Craigieburn could of been in a better position to go into premier league, if local players had of hung around, you want names ? Work it out yourself. Go through the list of players who would rather not play there since 2002, or have come back for a year or to for their own convenience.I would like to know who you are talking about as being at the club for 15 years and losing over 42 senoir players in the last 3 seasons of premier division most left because of 1 person and the people that did stay got a hiding the last year of premier div with only 1 game won with 3 teams and that was the under 18s. So before you talk about money look at the facts and most that left to stay in premier league got less money than if they had stayed at craigieburn.
Oh and I can talk about money buddy cause I was recruiting for an opposition club so I got to listen to there demands, let me tell u those boys loved having there pockets pissed in.I would like to know who you are talking about as being at the club for 15 years and losing over 42 senoir players in the last 3 seasons of premier division most left because of 1 person and the people that did stay got a hiding the last year of premier div with only 1 game won with 3 teams and that was the under 18s. Craigieburn doesn’t shy away from the fact it has been one of the busiest local football clubs in Victoria with more than 30 players signing with the club in the offseason.
Having struggled in the Essendon District Football League in recent years and narrowly surviving relegation to division 2 by 4.46 per cent, the Eagles knew they had to do something and something big to return to being a force in the competition.
This is exactly my point where are the players 27 to 31?
What about the players that have played AFL / VFL? Imagine they had come back to the club and stayed. What young bloke in local footy doesn't these days
One of my apprentices played off his club against a close rival this year to increase his match payment.... The club was stupid enough to fall for it and meet his demands rather than lose him

just putting an ad on this forum for any ruckman or key backman who may be interested
Lancefield in the RDFL are on the look out for both these positions.
Anyone interested please contact the coach Ash Manning 0403135355 or Football Ops Manager Mark Swindells 0407534114
We are only half an hour from the northern suburbs and a well established club with an emerging list.
Anyone who isn't entirely $$$ driven but a one night a week/fortnight training commitment out at the club sounds appealing more than welcome to private message me .... that's if those type of guys still exist in modern footy
I think the idea is a good one but surely we all no this will never work! Clubs will always find ways around paying players under the table an slipping over cash for sign ons etc.. If fact it will not be difficult at all as who will be able to police this at every club in the state from not happening? As for points systems, so what happens with current sides like say abers for example that are over there points? Do they need to start telling current players they can no longer play at the club because the club is exceeding the required amount of points.? Like i said id like there to be a way to equalise comps but it just wont happen, theres the rich clubs and the poorer ones and u wont be able to stop money being exchangedCLUBS UNANIMOUS FOR EQUALISATION
A review of club surveys by the AFL Victoria Equalisation Working Party has found community clubs are unanimous in their support for a state-wide set of equalisation provisions.
Feedback showed strong support for the development of a state-wide standardised contract for community football, a change to current transfer deadlines and a move to make sign-on and transfer fees illegal via the National Player Transfer regulations.
The WRFL, in conjunction with several other leagues and commissions, has indicated a willingness to be part of a trial this season which will provide data on how provisions would impact leagues and clubs.
“The WRFL supports the work AFL Victoria has done so far and has indicated to the Working Party that the league is interested in being part of a trial in 2015,” WRFL Football Operations manager David Newton said.
“It’s great to see steps being taken to ensure a fair competition and if the WRFL can help in any way to assist in the research, we are certainly happy to participate.”
While there will be no enforcement provisions during trials this year, the results will allow the Working Party to refine the framework before aiming to establish a state-wide implementation in 2016.
AFL Victoria Community Football and Engagement Manager Brett Connell said work will now be done to finalise the equalisation provisions that may include both a class, category or point allocation to individual players; and a maximum player spending limit for each competition in Victoria.
“Once the framework is finalised then leagues who indicated their willingness to trial the provisions will be engaged,” Connell said.
“These trials will have no immediate impact on clubs in 2015, with information gathered to be used solely for the purpose of refining the framework for full implementation in 2016.”
“The Working Party is determined to establish a framework that is consistent and simple enough to be implemented state-wide without placing a significant burden on club volunteers, while also flexible enough to cater for the extensive list of unique circumstances faced by individual leagues and clubs across the state at community level.”

Perhaps have divisions like Vic soccer if you pay the big bucks play in the big leaugueI think the idea is a good one but surely we all no this will never work! Just looking at the clearances on the EDFL website. Why in the hell would EDS bother trying to recruite some of these players? Sciberras, could hardly get a kick in Greenvale reserves last year. Kite, spends more time on the bench with injuries. Nick Millman, ordinary at best.
I think we could have run with the side we had last season and still finish top 2!
Average b grade players at bestMy spy down at Glenroy informs me that Keegan Shrimpton trained with them Monday night and is staying there this season! Also told me that they have picked up 3 guys from the country leagues that go ok as well! Add these to the other guys they have picked up in Golding, Abbaz, Brown, Vetter, Togni and a few others, they might be very competitive!
Eds will be one of youngest listed teams and probs run teams off there legs
As far as recruits named above
Kits will go close to kicking a 100 if glenroy just let the kid play, they need to stop thinking that once you play football at the Roy's you can never leave or go elsewhere it's local footy!
Sciberras top5 in 2's bnf off 7 games, must have got a kick or two then
Average b grade players at best
Keegan will barely play with his shoulder and is only at the club via friends getting him down glenroy didn't recruit him, they need him though because ya wouldn't rely on gillilands to ruck all year he's a 2's player at best
glenroy to old and slow and no depth will struggle to win 6-7 games at best
Page be best ruckman in comp by a street, anyone no much about glen grgic? Former bundoora, coburg an bullants.. Training with craigieburn last 2 weeks could be another good recruit on the eve of the season for eaglesIntra-club game tonight. Not wanting to give away too much, but Paige looks a great get as does Young. Pretty physical contest and coach very happy.

So you are saying out of the 42 players that left the club between 2010 to 2013 which was the 3 years i was talking about that 39 of these players had over inflated egos and only left because of this reason.thanks for filling me in on that as in this time we lost alot of very good players and i can tell you it wasnt about egos.and its good to see ex players coming back to the club again even with their over inflated egosTrue, besides Nolan and maybe 1-2others most of the young ones that have left over the years have had over inflated egos and have chased $.
The coach is a very smart operator and he will take the club a long way, Flag faves by a mile.
Turbo you are quickly establishing yourself as the "Shifter" Sheehan of Local Footy.Seen a bit of Grgic a few years back and bit and pieces recently. 23 yr old Mid size midfielder who is pretty quick. Kicking probably let's him down a bit. I believe only has played VFL development and no VFL ones, but I stand to be corrected. Good player but depending what type of coin his getting. Wouldn't be offering any more than $600 IMO. Could easy play premier of a back flank/wing maybe...
Hope this helps mate..
