Yes Mark Bangit,i played against him throughout juniors and a little in seniors, very good player he would be around 34 now,is he playing somewhere? or were you just trying to remember who he was?

You must be kidding mate. A Grade clubs have been taking talented B Grade juniors for years. Great to see some traffic going the other way. Good on Airport West for having a crack at getting the best possible talent they can down to their club.

Yes i did hear that he signed on monday night for 2 years at $500p/g. Also heard Kite has agreed to sign a 4 year deal which will see him play with his mate Dulic, for $500 and a job. So i here by publicly apologise to LEGEND09. You were right. Guys maybe i'm from a different way of thinking in that you try to play the best possible standard you can. No disrespecting Glenroy but they are 2nd division. I know some of you will say they wanted to play with their mates but before you jump down my throat, let me tell you this. Trav Dulic personally told me he went back to Glenroy from Coburg to help them out for a season and was then going to play "the best standard he could" outside of VFL. So does this mean after training with Keilor he would rather be a big fish in a small pond at Glenroy? Who knows, i don't understand. But at the end of the day, congrats to Glenroy and all the best to them.

I agree mate, from what I hear the deal was all but done with Keilor until Kite was not picked up by Carlton and went back to Glenroy. Same could be said for Kite with the big fish syndrome I think, he could probably have played VFL if he wanted to. Kite and Dulic in the ones next year with their new player-coach will be a fair force, even for B grade.
I'm guessing Kite didn't realise that the recruiting manager at Carlton is a long time best mate of Jaryd Cachia's dad Jordan. Maybe he may have trained somewhere else.
Long time EDFL General Manager Stan Pettett has departed from the position as from 9pm last Tuesday night. Stan may have rubbed a few people at club level up the wrong way but he was very committed to his job and called a spade a spade. Let us hope that people do not start making false statements at club or board level and let his departure be a smooth one. Good luck for the future and thanks for your contribution to a great competition.

What crap you speak. It is not like they are knocking back AFL or VFL to play B grade. It is the same league and if they are being looked after why not go back to their local club.

In all fairness mate he probably wasn't quite up to that level, from reports he spent a lot of time playing SANFL 2's during his time in Adelaide. Not having a crack at the kid by any means as he must be quite a player to even get drafted.

Can definitely see how you would get those feelings club 7, myself personally thought trav was gonna be hard to stop from leaving to go keilor, but the club/players were dissapointed with how things went in A grade last year and everybody is working hard to see if we can get back there as quick as possible(not saying its just gonna happen overnight) and if we do get back, aquit ourselves better by building or club around quality young players who want to play at the leagues highest level.
lucky for us, we managed to convince this to trav and he decided to try help us get back to 1st div, which is were he and plenty of others still want to be.
as for kitey, i thought he would of tried to keep his afl dream alive, but he has repeatadly reminded me that playing footy to him is about being happy and he says his happiest down at glenroy(god love him). it will be a massive step down for him but he also wants to try help glenroy be successful.
as for me, i have had to train before christmas to keep the coach happy, as i'm running out of positions that i might be able to fill in the seniors. coach must be sick of me sucking up his arse for a game, but quite frankly i'm not an early morning person for playing footy

B Grade kids go up to test themselves against a better standard of players.
Airport West do nothing other than try and raid clubs to finish mid table, lucky they have had great players like Ang and Papa.
Money, i heard a kid was offered $350 a game, he has played 2 snr games.
No wonder the money in the comp is going mad..!
Be careful what you hear....Young blokes love to talk BS about how much they are getting....
Dont use "they play to test themsleves", like I said the two way traffic is good for footy. But I agree the money in local footy is now a joke, time for the points system to be introduced!

No crap spoken mate, the figures are correct and unless Trav is an out and out liar (which i doubt very much) that's what he told me. As for playing at their local club and getting looked after, i did say congrats to glenroy. If you do know these 2 boys mate then why don't you ask yourself why they don't have a crack at V.F.L. They are both very athletic, good skilled and 6ft3. That's what brought me to the big fish syndrom way of thinking. And while i'm at it, if you do infact talk to these 2, maybe you should mention 2 words, work ethic. Perhaps that's why these 2 20 year old potential AFL players are now playing B grade footy.
Have a crack at me if you wish or p/m me, and i did play VFL footy, but maybe i speak for all the local players out there who wish they could turn back time or have the ability these 2 have. Ironic you go by the alias of YOUCANDOIT.

in the end i think its both a personal descion i dont think work ethic has anything to do with it as both work pretty hard in there own time away from training to keep as fit as possible.for glenroy its a bonus but dulic and kite werent forced into any decsion to play there at all.as for the vfl i think with kite the descion to play local footy was that he already played 2 years of sanfl which in alot of peoples minds is a better comp than vfl and was not able to be re drafted dont think his ability to play at that level was a worry as he only played 8 2s games in 2 years out of 44 as for dulic i think its more the fact that he only wants to play local footy and weather your playing at keilor north coburg or glenroy its still local footy good luck to the 2 im sure they will let there footy do the talking carn the royz in 2010 n.fitzpatrick 3 votess
DA BEAR have you ever thought B-Grade clubs approach A-Grade juniors because they seem them throwing big money at ex VFL & AFL players? Seems common sense to me. Talented young player at a club where they want big $$$ higher league recruits. Oppurtunities for these kids arent the best if they stay so small clubs jump in. Cant blame the kid either. What would you rather do? Stay and play 2nd fiddle to the recruit and get 5-8 games or, drop down a division be a key member of the senior team

well put. there are times though when certain players play in lower divisions for a paycheck.... ash flavel comes to mind here. although it is good for B grade having quality players.
I'm sure Dulic and Glenroy are both really happy that you decided to blurt out the details of what I am assuming was a private conversation onto this site....
i can't speak for everyone else that frequents this thread, but i'm sick to death of hearing about this Dulic, has anyone got any news of note? From what i've gathered from the last 1,000 posts he doesn't rate himself highly enough to have a crack at A Grade, In my book getting beaten by 15+ goals each isn't competing in A Grade, its participating, which was obviously out of his and the Roys control, but playing in a competitive team against others of the same calibre is a whole different kettle of fish, and he doesn't have the want nor will to do it so lets move on shall we..
