james philpott was very very good around the ground and in the ruck

Who do you think will win out of Keilor and Greenvale in the twos....who would you prefer to play?

Watched the strathmore V Douttas game on Sunday thought it was a good pace, may got a lot of the ball but it seemed to be wide and refuses to pick John Lindsay was great put his body on the line and was kicking 45-50 meter passes into the forward line thought he was best on ground also seen the much hyped Quinn who l thought went well big unit. P Barnard looked very slow although got the job done, Docherty l thought killed them he is a great carrier of the ball and delivers well. Josh O'Neill went well in the second half as well also number 18 for the mores goes real well didn't see Tate do much which was disappointing after reading so much mixed reviews on him on this site, also is Ogston in there best side spoke to someone and they said how he is a veteran and does the little things which is good, just look out of place in a side with every player looking very fit and cut up.

Overall good game and Carey l forgot goes well and Winters can kick a mile, imagine the bloke had some heart he would be playing AFL.

D-Mac good to see your old team put the Colts in there shell, maybe you could get down there and give them a pre match speech for their next game you seem to know what your talking about, have fun picking which team to go watch this week

WRFLfan. How did the 100 goal kicker Harvey go? No mention of him in a great wrap up of the game.

Ive heard there are a few injury worries for all sides left in the finals. Does anyone know who or if there is any truth?

Who do people think will win the comp B&F? I think the counts on tomorrow night. Is that right?

Harvey kicked 6 goals - a great display. Douttas will lose 2, possibly 3, for next week. Certain to miss - Moore (knee) & Elsum (calf). B&F count is Wednesday 6th Sept.

Harvey is worth ever dollar! ;)

My prediction is Harvey will kick 8 in the GF. :thumbsu:

Marby have actually done a great job with juniors, and are building these numbers beautifully. Onfield success in the junior ranks does not necessarily make a good club. You obviously have a very short memory, don't forget that Westie not only lost a number of players and official in an Under 18 brawl very recently. Marby have a unified club on and off the field.

The facts dont lie darl, go through both clubs and see how many junior teams both clubs have.
Then go through and see how many of the those teams play finals footy?
Then if you like go through and see how many junior teams won flags?

As for the under 18's enough said! Where are they ATM.
The future looks awesome, this is something money can't buy! ;)

Will be interesting Nemo, there were 3 fellas unlucky not to have been picked for the first final and played well in the reserves. Philpot, George and Simon will put their hand up for selection. Elsum and Moore will be missed, but the mentioned fellas will give a good sight of themselves, and deserve their opportunity. Philpot and George especially had played good Senior footy leading into the finals.

What does make the difference Marbygirl, is the fact that by having a strong showing in the seniors, this will attract Juniors to club, along with the hard work that the commitee does ensuring that the juniors are looked after. My issue is that "What happens when the money-well runs dry?" I speak to Marby people regularly and hear in their voices how excited they are at the prospect of a Premiership win and elevation to A grade. I can only hope that the great people who been very generous with their money/player support in the last two years continue to ensure that the A grade venture is a success for YEARS to come. This will carry through to the juniors.

Absolutely with you there EDFL Man, he is a wonderful player - and the KEY to their Premiership hopes. Do you believe he will continue with the Mores for 2007?

Look we can all talk about this but in the End Nutter is the only one who sure why he left, so lets leave it at that.
Good Guy, Great user of the footy...:thumbsu:
FACT......G. Holman did speak with Douttas about recruiting his mate Jeremy Barnard and few others including Michael O'Brien, Antoniwicz, Perez (another mate from WA) but for Doutta's to attract these players one of the highest paid players for Doutta in 2004 would need to take a pay cut to fit these guys into their budget for season 2005. In Nutters own words "I know what my market value is and if Doutta's can't pay it I will look elsewhere" .
Good luck to him, he has won a comp B&F and a premiership at Lebo Res. won some new friends and lost a couple along the way, but I guess when money is involved thats going to happen.

Oh and just for comparisons since u went and watched Strathmore on Sunday how would your mob stack up against them, am curious to hear mate so get back to me. Don't know about Winter, I'II give you a bit of poetic licence there, but wrong on Holman.

yeah im not totally sure with holman, everyone tells me it was money more than anything. he didnt go for less, common sence would say that. I know that the fallout when he left was massive. People at douttas hate him with a passion. On another note, I seriously reakon that GV talked to about 4 players over the last 2 years that were lost to higher offers at SM.
